Well we're only at about 6/10 of a game right now anyway. Once HoW and Comet drop then we can get a better idea of how high this game should rate. If HoW and Comet have as much content as we hope then Destiny should be somewhere around 8-10 by the end of the year. Guess we'll see. In the meantime I'm playing DA:I. So much more to do in an actual RPG.

 • If the game has to release DLC for it to rate high it's not a good game.

 • That's a matter of opinion my friend. Call of Duty had a decent storyline but little replayability and it had great ratings. Once you beat the game all there was to do was PvP or Zombies. The exception being MW2 which was my favorite purely for the arcade mode. People don't judge WoW based on what it was when it started they judge based on what it is now and how it's evolved. Same concept here.

 • Not at all the same concept. WoW has legitimate expansions and is an ever changing realm. COD sucks are you kidding me? There hasn't been a good COD since COD4. I reiterate if a game has to rely on it's DLC to be good it's not a good game. People still play Diablo 2 to this day and it hasn't seen DLC is over 12 years. Even FF14 released a 2 or 4gb expansion beating Destiny hands down and people played it for the vanilla game. People still play Half Life and Half Life 2 and all they get is an occasional mod here and there. Skyrim is still played because it's a great game that is having free mods done to it all the time. So no, it's not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of fact. It's like asking if hats exist or if 15 is bigger than 5.

 • Destiny's millions of active daily players says otherwise.

 • One being played more than another doesn't mean the game with fewer players is any less a great game. Your opinion is just that, opinion. I personally don't see the appeal of LoL. It's not enjoyable to me. Does that make it any less a great game? No, no it doesn't. My opinion doesn't change the fact that millions of people still play and enjoy the hell out of it. Just like your opinion doesn't change the fact that Destiny is still a great game in the eyes of millions of people including myself. How is this such a difficult concept to grasp? The days of games that are perfectly refined on release are over. You're never going to get exactly what's advertised and you're never going to get a game that doesn't need some shoring up or additional content to keep people interested. I've got my money's worth out of Destiny and then some and HoW isn't even out yet. Sure there are issues that need to be dealt with but you're going to run into that with every game you play. But it seems we've reached an impasse. Neither of us is going to convince the other that their opinion is right so we may as well just let it go. So i will simply say good day to you my friend and leave it at that.

 • I'm going to leave it at this: at launch Destiny was 22mil now it hovers between 15-16mil. LoL, WoW, FF14, PoE, Diablo3, all have more players on server at any given time and that's been since the vanilla game. Basing a game's worth on it's extra content is so stupid. Why buy the game if you didn't buy it because the vanilla game is fun? I can play D3 without the expansion and be as satisfied with it. Also, Destiny's DLC was already on disc. You paid and are basing this game's worth on something you paid 60 bucks for at launch. FF14 expansion...free. LoL expansions.....you got it, free. SWTOR can be played and enjoyed with no DLC. No, we're not at an impasse. You're wrong and refuse to see reason.

 •
No, we're not at an impasse. You're wrong and refuse to see reason.
Yes, we are. Because you haven't proven anything other than a few PC games have more active users. Other than that it was all personal opinion and beating the speculation horse some more. Like we don't see enough of that already. I won't be replying again so continue if you wish but it's not going to get you anywhere.

 • Do you want me to count WoW also? CS:GO? All these games that blow Destiny numbers away!

 • Maybe if we got all of the content that we were expecting at the one time:launch, would the game get a better overall rating

 • Oh don't get me wrong I wish all of this hadn't been cut out to sell us later too. But we gotta take it as is. I can't wait for it to be completed though. I love pretty much everything about the game. RPGs have always been my favorite game genre so even the repetitive grinding of Destiny doesn't get to me much.

 • The reason why i bought this game+dlcs was because when i played the beta, i saw a Game that I knew that I would love, the reason why I'm calling it out is because i care about this game, and it's HUMAN community.

 • I hear ya man. I didn't play the Alpha or Beta but I hear the experience was quite different. I also didn't watch the E3 reveal until after I bought the game so that kinda helped haha. Although games are almost never exactly what they're advertised to be so it's really not that surprising. I love this game more for what I know it could be than what it is. Granted I don't have too many issues with what it is now.
