This community continues to amaze me. Us day 1'ers know... Back in the day people bitched and begged for Auto Rifles to get trashed and hand cannons buffed. Both happened and now that ARs are crap and handcannons dominate the bitching and moaning continues.
What the community doesn't realize is that you asked for this... Dont blame Bungie. Blame yourselves. I cannot count how many "nerf Suros" "nerf shadow price" "nerf ARs" threads I saw. You simply got your wish.

No one asked for this the last time and no one said ars as a whole moron, the reason they did the nerf was simply because too many people used them...

Hand Cannons didn't need the recent nerf. It didn't affect the OPness (don't sound it out) of TLW or Thorn (or Hawkmoon?) anyways. Autos didn't need a nerf either. Scouts were and are fine. Pulses sucked. Now Auto Rifles suck instead. I'm glad pulses were buffed, though.

People had far better priorities to demand. Bungie did it on their own initiative, no one gave a crap about pulse rifles.

Bungie admitted in their weapons tuning post the last AR nerf was solely based on primary weapon usage stats in PvP. They neglected to show secondary weapon use, then sprinkled in some anecdotal PvE evidence to support the nerf.

I don't remember anyone asking for the last nerf. They definitely needed the first Nerf or two, but I think people were okay with them after that. I think you'll see that most people are okay with the range now ... It's the multiple damage buffs that have sent people into a frenzy.

You do not speak for everyone. Neither myself nor a large amount of my friends ever cried for an AR nerf. The ones complaining were actually a very loud minority of players. I am a day 1er myself.

Just because you didn't scream to nerf ARs doesn't mean a good chunk of the community didn't. Why is that so hard for people to understand? Edit: I also did not want a nerf. But you can't deny just how vocal people were about it. There was a point where we had an entire page full of "nerf Suros, nerf AR" posts. It was a alot of people.

These forums don't represent the community as a whole, only a very small percentage of people who play Destiny even have a Bungie.net account and even fewer actually post on the forums. So for YOU to assume that YOU know what the majority of this community wanted is very pretentious and stupid. You don't know what the majority wanted so stop acting like you're some kind of prophet.

You know there's plenty more to the community than just these forums right? I just used these as an example because this is where we're posting. The bitching and moaning was everywhere. Here. Reddit. PD. Destiny tubers. You name it.

Exactly. At one point I logged on to the forums and literally every other post was "nerf suros" "ARs are too strong" "buff handcannons". Now we have those same threads except it's the opposite.

What I'm going on about is that you have no right to be a singular voice talking down to others. Yes they listen to the community and nerfed the AR's a first time. But, in the most recent patch I don't recall seeing much if any at all complaining about AR's needing a nerf. So why they did that in patch 1.1.1 is beyond me; call me wrong all you want my poll would suggest otherwise (all be it only a handful of voters.)

Bungie used contrived data to show ARs had a much higher average use than other weapons. Measured during an Iron Banner with an AR specific bounty. Someone at Bungie is upset the auto rifles are most people's favorites. I miss what my Vanquisher used to be able to do...

As for being a "singular voice putting down others". What? I simply stated a fact. The bitching and moaning that makes up a good size of this community Is well known and we'll documented. I mentioned day 1ers because by the time Christmas noobs came around ARs had already been nerfed so they wouldn't even know about the community's role in it. Again. Not sure what you're going for with these comments. It's a fact that this community is back and forth when it comes to weapon balance. Edit: for the record I voted yes in the poll. Never wanted them nerfed in the first place.

I'm on these forums daily and I haven't seen a complaint about an auto rifle or SUROS in the last 3 months. So clearly you're reading old posts or simply lying about the AR nerf threads. Here's what the community has ACTUALLY been asking for: -Vault Space -Queen's Wrath Event -Vault Space -Fix bugs in Raids -Vault Space -Nerf Shotguns (they got a range reduction in PvP so they got what they wanted) -Vault Space -Buff Pulse Rifles (got what they wanted) -Vault Space See what happens when you actually pay attention to what's being posted?

Dude. Do you realize the poll is actually proving my point? I remember a poll just like this a few months ago except it was the opposite. Asking if Autos should be nerfed in this latest patch. Majority wanted them nerfed. Just like the majority on this one wants them buffed.
