Just an Idea...Cursed Guns and Armor.

I've been playing Destiny for a while now, and I've been wondering why there isn't a mechanic in the game for cursed armor or weapons. Considering the overarching theme of Darkness and Light in the game and the fact that the game borrows heavily from other RPG ideas, it seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to impliment a really awesome system in the game. The item would basically be treated like an exotic, with the most ideal Stat rolls. I was thinking it could go one of two ways: 1. The item in question has a particularly useful perk, but the item binds to the player until the player returns to the tower to have it removed by The Speaker for a nominal fee. (let's say 7 Motes of Light.) Item will re-bind if re-equipped. 2. The item has a pretty much OP perk, but with a unique, and possibly crippling handicap. It still binds to the player and only could be removed by The Speaker. (Example: a sniper rifle that has a 33% chance to proc a body shot as a crit, but your movements are inverted while the weapon is in use. Swapping weapons will restore normal movement. Perk and handicap are unlocked together.) Just an idea.

I remember this in Golden Sun. One of the mechanics I loved was in equipping cursed items. IIRC you had to go to a sanctum to get the item removed (it could not be unequipped) and the curse removed. I love the idea.
