• I'm a day 1 player, and don't have vault space issues. I'm 3 exotics away from having them all. What is everyone doing wrong to make vault space such an important issue?

 • It's not that we're doing something 'wrong', it's that we want to keep legendaries as well. Not to mention, the number cap on certain materials means we need to fill multiple slots for the same thing. It's just a very poorly designed vault system.

 • Man you must be keeping a lot of legendaries lol. I keep some too - but playing lots of games with static inventory systems have taught me to let go of things. And I disagree that its poorly designed. Its very clear and easy to find what you are looking for. Games that have randomly rolled stats and armor will -always- have this issue. If you learn to manage your items better, you:ll find the space we currently have to be quite sufficient

 • Why would Bungie design a game based on loot, then force players to destroy the loot they earn? There are 200+ loot items, but only 20 places to store them. Poorly designed vault system.

 • Its only poorly designed if you want to keep legendary weapons you dont use anymore. I have a full complement of exotics/legendarys that gives me plenty of versatility and choice - yet somehow I don't have an issue with vault space. You knew very early into the game that you had a static vault. So clearly this game wasnt designed for you to hoard everything you get.

 • I still use those other legendary weapons. If you watched the recent video of the guy 1-manning the Crota raid, he was using Fatebringer - an older legendary weapon. Many different scenarios require many different types of weapons. As such, we need somewhere to store them until they're needed. I knew very early into the game that Bungie said they would continue to support it. I didn't realize by support, they meant take 7 months to give us 4 more general spots in the vault....

 • Well general items can be fixed by simply allowing stacking the way you do with materials (unlimited I believe, but I can't recall if I ever broke 1k). In that regards, I agree a larger size increase would have been preferable until they do fix stacking. I probably don't have the same strains you have with general inventory since I pretty much only run the raid/NF - so I only ever get the same ships/shaders dropping so I don't have a large variety of those. I'm saying more the weapons/armor - I currently have all the CE weapons except for Necro, and all VoG weapons except for Corrective Measure (12 HM, 10 NM clears... le sigh). I am also only missing thunderlord from the rest of the exotic list. I have 3 Ice breakers, and 2 MIDAs (maybe a 3rd if I feel like it). On top of those weapons I have, 3 shotguns, 5 machine guns, 3 Fusion rifles, 1 hand cannon, 1 AR, 2 Pulse Rifle, 2 Scout Rifles. Notably absent - RL's - but the raid RLs, Gjalla and Truth make everything else kind of pointless to use. (Not really a fan of the pvp but would like to try the IB launcher one day). But this is a pretty good blend - I'm hoping to find a better AR and maybe a Timur's Lash one day as well. Definitely have the room for them. I have a playstyle I enjoy with each class so my weapons are distributed accordingly, and if I want to try something new, the ability to use the internet to transfer items makes the vault almost irrelevant. I hope bungie has seen the destiny item manager chrome extension, they may want to consider trying a similar model for their next companion update. I currently use it and it makes item moving unbelievably simple and fast. As for armor - I keep the bulk of it on my characters. Since its not necessary to transfer (unless your running the same class...) - it keeps my armor slots relatively free. When I want to grind, I usually have plenty of space to store my excess armor while I fill up all my slots. All I'm really saying is, it feels like people are making mountains out of molehills here. If someone wanted to be a hoarder (and lets be honest, you don't use all your guns - there's exotics and legendarys I haven't touched in months), then they might have picked the wrong game. Have you tried being a hoarder in a game like borderlands? And sure, you could be a hoarder in a game like skyrim - but don't you dare tell me that was a good inventory system!

 • You're telling us not to collect loot, in a loot-based game. That seems very counter-intiutive to me. I don't think we are the problem here. I think it's the fact that there are 10x more items in the game than there are places to store them. At the end of the day, the point here is that they are constantly asking for feedback. The overwhelming feedback here is that the storage system in this game is too small. There are many many people playing this game who feel it is stupid for them to ask us to play a loot-based game, and then force us to throw away 90% of the loot we find.

 • No worries, man. We're all just brothers sharing our love for the game. I welcome all points of view, even ones that differ from mine. Doesn't mean I won't stand by what I said. :) Hopefully that doesn't make you feel unwelcome, because I'm happy you put in your .02 here.

 • Nah, all good man - this was civil, which was refreshing for a change! I'm sure things are coming down the pipe. At the very least, perhaps a lesson learned for destiny 2. It:ll all be next gen then. No excuses then bungie ;-)
