Our sun is too small. And solar flares have nothing to do with supernovae.
A supernova happens when a very large star dies, expanding on itself (red supergiant) then imploding, jetting out a huge amount of energy Our sun will just expand, (red giant) implode a little and become a white dwarf.
And a supernova, even if it came from our sun, would be nothing to worry about because we'd already be dead.
Btw, our sun will die in about 18 billion years.
Solar flares are just naturally emitted through our sun and happen every day
