Crux of Crota Useless now?
For those who do not have the Necrocasm, keeping shooting for the Crux, but those of use who do have the Necrocasm will know what I mean. When you get the Crux now after you already have the Necrocasm, it is just not special and you end up dismantling it. The Crux needs to be useful again, instead of dismantling it for nothing. Perhaps have Eris buy it from you for 5000 glimmer? That would be great for people in need of glimmer.
What are your suggestions for how to Crux should be used now?

so I just get the crux of crota. Yes I killed like 30 or more swords of crota to get the husk of the pit, yes i upgraded it all, yes got lvl 3 with the new vendor to get the upgrade to eiodon ally, now upgrading it to necrocasm, but seriosuly when i see the end result is completely underwelming, i mean is the hardest weapon to obtain in the game, why is so under powered this needs to be fixed

I'm up to four cruxes. All three characters have one in their inventory and one was used to make a Necrocasm. I've had a second Ally almost upgraded for ages but I don't play Destiny much anymore and am still putting the XP into my red death instead. I only wanted a second Necrocasm to dismantle it.

23 RepliesThe necrochasm is actually a great weapon for arc burn on weekly strikes. Really good for thrall and acolytes.

Got my 2nd crux the other day. May keep it in case i need a second nechrocasm. They may decide to buff it.

fast glimmer/ exotic shard, trade for purple engram... sick of seeing my exotic chance be wasted on an exotic item with no use aside the first one u find, dismantled 2-4 didnt even get any glimmer

1 ReplyI have only gotten 1 extra Crux and I ended up taking one of my extra husks, leveling it thru all forms, and then breaking down for an exotic shard. It wasn't worth the shard given how much extra work I had to do.

Maybe allow you to buff the Necrocasm so you might actually take it out of the vault?

Doing my second husk of the pit now I'll get a shard at least by the time it's all said and done with.

Made my third necroshasm today. Dont know why really... Dismantling a crux should at least give an exotic shard. Upgrading a husk to necro just for a shard is a bit much

It's ok, I only use it in the abyss on Crota just because I feel it's wasted if I don't, the cursed thrall explosion happens quite often, almost everytime, I like spitting out those rounds in the dark, but let's face it.... It ain't no Vex mytho When i first got that gun it was before all the nerfs, I had it as it was for 1 week before all the fu[i]c[/i]kery Bungie did to it, in pvp it took two shots to someone toe and they were dead, then they nerfed it 35% then they buffed it, then they broke it again.

It's alway been useless, necrochasm is terrible. Had my crux since week 2 of hard and haven't bothered to upgrade my ally. Not worth my time.

Great idea that you could sell it to Eris. I haven't got one yet so my Eidolon sits in my vault but if I got multiples I'd love for a reward

Or what if every time you get a crux you can boost the stats of your necro with it
