This info is based off a lvl 32 guardian!
Playstation = r1 and R2
Xbox = rb and RT

(Starting with the most damage and finishing with the least)
Without supers
5 slams = 76,505

Tips on using sword!
-Pushing forward on your left stick makes you hit faster*
-Dont lower the sword bearer to the middle
"It saves time with the sword, so u have more time for your combo"
-Having Max agility helps with your speed while using the sword.
-Have your team shoot Crota when hes on his knee. He will stay down longer.
-Dont have all GJALLAHORNS so you have time to see his shield drop.(Or just start hitting when the first round of rockets hit)
-Going for a hard combo? Start hitting him at 5% shield considering by time the sword hits his shield should be down and you can get a start on your combo.

I use the 5 slam combo. So i get 10 slams on the first sword then 8 on the second because it takes 18 slams to kill.
How do i get 5 slams?
Start slamming Crota as soon as the rockets hit him or shortly after.

1 ReplyAnyone tried jumping then quickly going slash then slam ( so 'X' R1 R2 ,on ps4) Was messing about on daily (sword mission on moon) and noticed you can get hits it pretty fast,obv havnt tested on a crota run though.Anyone else tried this?

3 RepliesEdited by LLoydizle: 4/26/2015 4:47:35 PMI don't slam at all. I do 3 (RB, RB, RT) combos each time he goes on his knees. And we do 3 downs in 1 sword so he goes down on his knees 3 times per sword, although I forgot to add, I only do 1 RB, RB, RT combo the third time he's down cause the sword runs out then. After the first sword, he's left with roughly 35% health. After that it's only 2 downs with the second sword and that's it, or you can do 3 downs on the second sword if you don't wanna risk it. Also, I don't always go right. I go to where Crota is standing closest to on the left or right platform. So sometimes I go left. Allows me more time to get more hits in, since I don't have to run so much. But that's just me. Its what I'm use to. You can try it that way if you like, but if you feel your way is best with you, stick with it.

Some images or descriptions of crota's health bar after the first 2 kneels for each combo. Last night i was trying some 2 sword combos (r1/r1/r2/r1/r1/r2/r2) and after the first sword it did not seem like it would be enough to finish off on the 2nd sword. Its possible i was missing some hits though as its tough to tell when to start your slashes. If i wait for him to kneel there isnt enough time so im trying to get him on his way down.
