So I tried using my mythoclast in the crucible again...
I want to ask for some feedback and be honest please. I tried using my mythoclast in pvp for the first time in about 2 months today and had a very hard time with the accuracy and range so what I want to know is this, did the recent nerfs effect this gun a lot? Do I just suck with it now? Or am I experiencing lag due to the fact that the lasers it shoots are not hitscan and has travel time through the air making it more susceptible to the lag?

No. Starting ammo being extremely low is a downer, 35 in mag and 35 is reserve, but other than that not much of a change. At very long range headshots are harder but you're not really supposed to use it at that long of a range.

They nerfed it and I think it got double nerfed from a couple of things I read. I read that it was accidentally nerfed as a fusion rifle and they are supposed to be working on fixing it along with a few other guns that got messed up. This was from a bungie post.... I also read from not sure where that it also got nerfed as an auto rifle since it fires in auto. I tried it after the nerf along with a couple of friends and we have had it in locker since.

So let me get this straight. They ruined the AR weapons and they ruined the vex. Great let the shotgun wars continue as scheduled. I hear the constant cries now over hand cannons so those will soon be useless as well. What are we going to use in PVE. I know I pack a shotgun very very often in pve now as they are the go to weapon in this game.

I switch between field scout and send it and the results are similar. The range is horrible now even with send it! If you really love this gun you need to headshot with every bullet. Even then, it's not killing a hawkmoon/thorn/TLW user who can headshot you. @Bungie wtf mate. Fix this sh*t

If you use the smart drift and send it, it becomes crit worthy again. Also for me I pair it up with gunslinger's trance and it becomes super accurate. Just the range kinda sucks on it. Also another issue for me is the mag size and reserve. Its too tiny for a full auto rifle.

They accidentally got the vex with the fusion rifle but thats a good thing 41's on headshots and low recoil are crazy strong, it needed to be less accurate in the crucible it still is strong

Its still good at really close ranges however I'd never use it over my TLW now days not that I ever did

They did the fusion rifle nerf and made vex complete shit. I wouldn't use it until they fix it, which they do plan to do. Right now the spread is greater so you can shoot at someone's head and it doesn't even register as a hit

I got 4 kills with it in 2 min and I died 4 times. Stability is terrible use the last muzzle perk and extended mag

1 ReplyHand cannons run the crucible now thanks to Bungie's poor assessment of what's going on in the crucible because stats is all that matters to them. I play skirmish a lot and tend to checkout the opposition while the screen is loading. It used to be that when I saw the Vex or Suros I always thought I was going to have my hands full, now its the opposite - it means its going to be easy pickings.

It still melts up close. I'm kinda glad. That thing was way too much of a crutch for a lot of players.

1 ReplyIt was nerfed in the weapon updates they did not long ago. Accidentally supposedly.. And they said they were going to have it fixed in te 1.1.2 patch I believe.

4 RepliesNah dude, it's not your lag.... says my stability is high but it shakes a lot. I have a hard time myself. But on the other hand I'm not to great at pvp.
