Ballsy's super helpful PvP tips!

So Ballsy here hoping to inform our less pvp inclined guardians how to become a killer in the crucible! I have a long history with online shooters and these guidelines will hopefully help us to become not only dominant in PvE but PvP as well! I have structured this list in order of importance to me. 1. The most important thing I feel when running crucible or any fps for that matter is aiming head high. I still have to correct myself especially while running. But while moving male sure you keep those cross hairs up and pointed forward so when you go toe to toe and aim down scope you will already be pointed at the enemy's dome allowing for quick and consistent dome shots! I could talk forever about this but let's move on. 2. Know the map. Pretty self explanatory. Knowing where everything is especially heavy is paramount to success. 3. Get a "feel" for the flow of enemies. This one is hard to explain but quite important. These battles have a certain flow with the map generally separated in half (looking at you blind watch!) Where there will be certain choke points and areas where the enemies tend to congregate. Use this knowledge to your advantage! 4. Work together! When running with a group of immo, cooperation and communication gives us a giant advantage against a team of randos. Speak up! 5. Use those good weapons and armor! No need to give the enemy any advantage by using unleveled guns and or armor, other guardians won't be as forgiving as that level 2 dreg in the cosmodrome. 6. Heavy. Heavy. Heavy. He who controls heavy will almost certainly control the game. If yah didn't know in Control heavy drops at 9 min and I believe every three minutes after. Eye that clock guardians! 7. In control (what we consistently play the most) know what points to hold. It will always be "b" and either "a" or "c". I think these are the basic guidelines that if followed will allow any team of six to be a formidable beast! I would greatly like to see us play more crucible as i feel its an underappreciated part of the game. If you would like to add to my list with more tips please do below. Finally, for you newer guardians who I haven't played with yet I'd like to play with yall and get to know yah. My PSN is Alarics_b4lls so don't be a stranger. Now; Go out there and fight!

  • Something that goes along with knowing the maps and the flow of enemies, as well as the control points, is knowing how spawns work. Enemies don't spawn based on which points you control, but by where your team is on the map. If you've got B and C, but you push to close to A, the enemy will start spawning behind you even if you don't actually take A. And when they start spawning behind you, they're going to take C, because it's there and it's undefended. Meaning you've got to turn around and run back to C, and will either get shot in the back by someone still at A/B, or shot in the face by someone waiting for you at C. So, know how close you can push to the enemy's control point before flipping the spawn, because the better you understand where the enemy is coming from, the easier it will be to get kills. With Control, you only really need to play offense to secure the first two points, after that you can switch to defense and hold the points you've got. Don't worry, it doesn't matter who you're playing against, they're going to come to you.
