Kerafyrm the Sleeper. A one-time-per-server event where a crystal dragon would spawn, travel through many zones, kill everything in its path, then dissapear forever. Invincible, but not unkillable. Kerafyrm quad-hit for 7000 damage, had two insta-kill attacks with unknown timers (one not limited by range), and resists all spells but non-damaging manaburn and a character ability. His health is somewhere between 100-400mil (where average was 2mil) and would instakill everyone even those not in close proximity. Players altogether did about 1,000 DPS... Not too much.
Well over 1,000 deaths, revives, and many un-levels later, Kerafyrm died and people had only 30 seconds with the corpse before it disappeared. It had no loot and was never meant to be killed.
The first time Kerafyrm was awakened was mid 2001 which sent the whole server into a panic. Every zone was chaos as mobs went into frenzies and dragons appeared in otherwise unpopulated skies.
The event above took place in 2003 after a former guild-member wanted to troll his server. To do this, he enlisted the help of a notoriously hated guild to kill Kerafyrm's 4 dragon guards to get him to spawn. Three guilds came to take over this plot and took the dragon down to 27% where a GM despawned the dragon due to a bug. The next day, he was reset and the event started once more.
2 years and Kerafyrm remained unkilled. Get your puny 48 hours out of here
