No. I'd expect an equal distribution if all players were equally talented. The fact that they aren't means it's possible, and I'd say likely, that a lot of the more talented players simply chose to main hunters. Hunters are the most traditional FPS character class in what they do, specifically gunslinger. As such it was a logical choice for many.
