For some reason, over the years I have bought every metallica album except "St Anger" (which sucks badly) and "Master of Puppets." So I just bought Master of Puppets, and even though I know a bunch of those songs, its like Metallica just came out with a brand new properly thrash-metal album: *basking in the awesomeness*
I dont actually have a question, but for the hell of it, poll your favourite Metallica Album:
-
All before the Black album, that was the beginning of the end.

I gotta go with Ride the Lightning, I love most of the tracks on it (not a fan of "escape") and it was released on my birth year to boot. Puppets is the better album, but not my favorite. "Kill'em all" and "Justice" are great albums too. I have a love/hate with the Black album, the songs are catchy and heavy, but they don't sound like themselves. I like some tunes off of Load and Reload, but they are not my go to albums, I even liked a few songs off St. Anger. Thankfully, "Death Magnetic" is a return to form: loud, heavy, and thrashy. Looking forward to new stuff! (As long as it sounds like Magnetic)

Ooh, tough one. I've got to go with Master of Puppets. But I do love Ride The Lightning
-
It's hard for me to choose between Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets.
-
Favorite song they made is "One"
-
"So -blam!-ing what"- pre record label metallica!
-
Love em all
-
Black album, And justice for all are the best in my opinion.
-
MASTER OF PUPPETS!!
-
And justice for all is probably one of my favorites overall, but my favorite songs are on different albums. Kill em all is my second favorite

Death Magnetic is soooo underrated.
-
These are not the results I expected. I voted for Ride the Lightning by the way.
-
Cliff em All!
-
idk, i can't play it, way too complicated. just the intro to "one" is a solo that's a PITA to learn.. YMMV.

That's tough. Ride the Lightning was Metallica at their hungriest. You can hear the ambition in that album. Master of Puppets is easily their most consistently good album. Orion is the best instrumental they've ever done, but I feel like the best songs on RTL beat out the best on MoP. Still great, though. ...And Justice for All is another great one, but it suffers from the lack of an audible bass guitar. Some of the songs run on for too long, but I feel like this album only grew in relevance over the years. I even like their self-titled album. It's not much of a thrash album, but it's got some great heavy metal tunes and the production quality is spot-on. If I had to pick one, it'd have to be Ride the Lightning.
-
RTL hands down. Everything after MOP is trash.
-
I've only heard one song that I like: One.

Um st. Anger wasn't bad the songs just needed more work and better production. I would say it's a three way between ride, master and injustice.
