For some reason, over the years I have bought every metallica album except "St Anger" (which sucks badly) and "Master of Puppets." So I just bought Master of Puppets, and even though I know a bunch of those songs, its like Metallica just came out with a brand new properly thrash-metal album: *basking in the awesomeness*
I dont actually have a question, but for the hell of it, poll your favourite Metallica Album:

That's tough. Ride the Lightning was Metallica at their hungriest. You can hear the ambition in that album. Master of Puppets is easily their most consistently good album. Orion is the best instrumental they've ever done, but I feel like the best songs on RTL beat out the best on MoP. Still great, though. ...And Justice for All is another great one, but it suffers from the lack of an audible bass guitar. Some of the songs run on for too long, but I feel like this album only grew in relevance over the years. I even like their self-titled album. It's not much of a thrash album, but it's got some great heavy metal tunes and the production quality is spot-on. If I had to pick one, it'd have to be Ride the Lightning.
