At the age of 3, I was left in the desert, alone. The priests said I was dirty, unholy, but people hated my parents, and money could do anything. I wondered the desert, only to be picked up by a stranger at the time. He kept me alive throughout the trial, and I returned unharmed. At the age of 5, I was brought to court along with my parents and brothers and sisters. A strange man, later to be known as Zec, was present at the court. It was then I learned that I was a descendant of Athos, and by that, I have dragon blood in me. The council declared me a threat, as with my family. To live, I had to kill my family, they had forced me to. My father, my mother, my brother and sisters, all bled and fell by my hand. I was only 5. At 8, I was witness to the Genocide of the Manaketes at Garj Plains, and watched thousands of the now extinct race burn, bleed, or fry to death. At 10, I was used as a child soldier in the Holy War, and killed many. My friends, they died that war. When I came back, now 12, I found my cousins and uncles and aunts being lined up. They were all beheaded before me. My friends, now knowing my descent, aboandoned me. For 9 years, I lived in solitude, every friend I made ran, every love I had left, all family dead. I was left behind, an outcast. I resolved to change Bern for the better, and studied the Arcane, fighting, weaponry, tactics, everything I could for those 9 years. I resurfaced at an Arcane Tournament, and impressed the elders. I made friends with a fellow mage, Pent. We worked together, and in 4 years, we made it to the Council. I put my past aside and served Bern, changed laws, helped make it a better country. I had completely forgotten my past, I fell in love once more, and was living happily. Then, one night I was forced out of my house by none other than Zec himself. He killed my love right before my eyes, I was helpless. I was then brought to court, for heresy and treason. Proven not guilty, I resolved to get stronger and traveled abroad, learning, training. I made a kard, had it blessed by the high priest Renault. Pent, my only true friend then, went to serve {REDACTED}, and guarded Athos's tomb at the {REDACTED}. I then came here, after much time of arcane training, did physical training. I tinkered, made my technological wonders (ie VDES, Tauros, CRX-42, LRSR-1, etc), and then found out Zec had taken over Bern in the Councils absence. On their return, they were murdered, more friends of mine gone. With only Pent left, I wondered if I would ever have someone to love, all who enter my life exit it dead. I'm in the process of taking Bern back, and foiling Zec's plans to release the dragon gods at Dragon's Gate. With the aid of my relations, we are making progress, but work is slow. Bern has the largest army in the realm, a force to be reckoned with. [spoiler]awww shiz! That's a bit messed up... But, good writing nonetheless, a boy who grew up sorrounded by loss probably would learn to just go on with life. My character, haven't got a name for him yet, has been in a small circle of orphans all his life. These kids grew up together, did almost everything together. They all trained in fields of war so they could fight in the empire together. Unfortunately the first battle we were sent on was the big Dojo battle that happened a little bit ago. Thus my character loses all his friends and barely manages to survive himself. This kids life was centered on these three people, and he has never experienced loss, so he goes through a good period of grief (thus the very depressed behavior in rp) I'm afraid he doesn't even know that his other two buds are dead.
