Yes, swords as such do, or else they grow blunt or break fast

Indeed, or in my case, the soot builds up and they don't look as nice.

Or tarnishes, either of the above would happen otherwise. Silver mirrors are the most reflective, but they tarnish, making them obsolete in due time.
