Most 32s I've run VoG with were terrible because they skipped it and went straight to crota.

That's where I usually will also check grimoire. 32 and 2300+ grimoire usually means they know what they're doing. Not a rule, but just in general when going with randoms.

You are correct re "in general". You don't really know until you play with them, regardless of their stats
