I was doing the usual chillin' in orbit, being nosey and looking at what other people were getting into last night in Destiny. Most people were raiding or getting their weekly heroic/nightfall in before the weekend. I noticed one of my buddies in a party chat, with a full group. I had a few beers in me, so I decided to join in and listen. I wasn't going to be THAT guy that joins in on a chat, and babble about nonsense while people were trying to focus and communicate. I hate when I'm raiding, and some random person joins and talks about nothing for extended periods of time. I took note that they were doing hard mode Crota. By the random sounds of button smashing and background noise, and slight communication between the raiders, I could tell where they were at within the boss fight. This was my moment, to be that positive troll'model. I knew they were in the crystal room, doing the orb thang. I hopped on YouTube and started to play Queen - "We Will Rock You." I didn't blare it, I played it low enough where they could still talk, as I kept my mouth shut. A few laughs were heard. I muted when I heard them down the sword bearer, so they had time to talk about Crota's shield. I heard them finish the first sword, so I knew they were running back to the crystal room. I then immediately played Survivor - "Eye Of The Tiger." The laughing grew a little bit louder, but I wanted them to keep their focus. The second sword bearer appears, and I mute my mic. From the sounds of it, the sword went well. Onward to the Ogre room! I unmuted my mic as soon as I sensed they were all in the room, on top of a doorway. I then played Europe - "The Final Countdown." They were all good natured people, and they were loving it all. I felt like I was getting them pumped, and I wasn't even raiding. I muted my mic once Crota did his rotation back to the middle. All the while, I wasn't saying a single word, just being their friendly Raid DJ. I heard the final sword slam, and Crota's cute yell as he disintegrates. What song choice was up my sleeve at this exact moment? [spoiler]Michael Jackson - "Smooth Criminal"[/spoiler] I felt like I contributed, not directly, to their Crota defeat. It felt good. Be a positive troll'model. It's way more gratifying than being an annoying, not-so-comical troll. You gotta have fun with it. Anyone else have an awesome troll'model story? I'd love to hear other kick ass stories. We need to take being a good troll'model to the next level. There can be too much negativity in these here parts of the forum.
