PSA: If you use The Last Word, you're cheating.
The Last Word is one of the most powerful weapons you can encounter in the Crucible. So powerful, it can kill you in less than a second (That's like a heavy weapon killtime). Often times, it doesn't matter if you get the first shot off; The Last Word user can just turn the battle the around in the blink of an eye without any real effort.
I've been told by multiple users that the eponymous perk the weapon has is actually bugged. The extra precision damage applies not only to hip firing, but aiming down the sights as well. That means that people who use this weapon are exploiting a glitch in the game to their advantage, which means they're cheating.
Look it up. Last time I checked the Xbox Live terms of service, exploiting unintended elements in a game to your advantage constitutes cheating. I'm sure PSN has similar terms. Bungie is no stranger to banning people for this sort of thing; Achronos himself stated back in the Halo 2 days that the use of the button glitches in that game in Matchmaking was cheating and a bannable offense.
I'm sure some of you (probably the people who use the gun) will start calling me names, saying that I suck or am a sore loser, yadda yadda yadda. But it doesn't really matter; the terms are clear. If you use the Last Word in Crucible in that manner, [i]you are technically cheating.[/i] There's no if's, and's, or but's about it. You are cheating.

2 RepliesIt is a crutch gun, look at people's precision kill ratio with the gun, usually dips down into the 20% range yet they think they're good, yes the gun is glitched and if you quick scope it you get 110 damage down sites the gun is a cancer to crucible along with thorn.

Technically it's a bug not a glitch..... Man I'm bored at work can't you tell because I'm actually reading this garbage...... So therefore it's not cheating because the user has no control over the way it is and is in no way breaking agreements. You typed the words yourself just re read if you don't believe me. And maybe it was intended to be used that way maybe not.

From what I've read the extra damage applies (at random) to one shot per mag. Glitch or possible hidden perk (many exotics have them) makes little or no difference. I enjoy using the gun and feel it is no more 'OP' than Thorn.. you can two shot enemies with Thorn with a time on target of .36 seconds (almost half the time it takes to kill with TLW). Sure the target doesn't die in .36 seconds but if you know your weapon you can/will simply find cover and/or move on to your next target after firing off just two quick shots.. and from a MUCH longer range than you can effectively engage a target with TLW. Point being - while TLW needs to have its perk either more accurately worded in the flavor text or a bug fix, it is hardly the end all, be all. PS: you can 1-shot people with Hawkmoon due to a bug as well. Isn't going stop people from using it.

Matches are meant to draw out the weaker link to bring out a k/d spread, that k/d spread is for you to figure out how much of a pussy you are...or how much of a man you can be, everyone else will have a weapon better then you..there are ppl who were playing this game since the beta. Of course they are better then you...if not consider yourself lucky. If you're not a fan of the ppl who happen to have a weaponTHEY earned then play another game...they obviously played the game enough to it to work in their favour. It's the other persons turn to make the choice of being better. I'm tired of ppl complaining because they are too lazy to make a difference for themselves...if you whine and bitch...back it up. If not...play the game and relax. I play as much as I can my kd isn't the greatest, but hey...I make an effort for what I can do...so the ppl who day they can't play because " ppl have better weapons then me" play another game or suck it up and level up!"
