I mean my Microwave, washing machine and toaster are all great and essential to me but loving them?, that's something different.
A machine that looks humanoid is still a machine after all.

True, if they are cyborgs they may have a shred of humanity/alienity. The other more likely idea is they could have smart AI's. Either way I wouldn't copulate with my toaster, it can't exactly reciprocate any feelings. Can it?
