I said lighter than traditional vanadium-steel armour, and vanadium-steel is very dense and heavy. I modify it to make it lighter, but it will still have a substantial weight associated with it. You'll get used to it. But yes, a price. Maybe a few materials, yes, that sounds good. How about a base model SMAW? That should suffice.

  • Any heavier then twenty pounds and the armor is too heavy, thus why I usually never wear it. Speed for me is top priority. I can't have anything that slows me down. I used to wear some fine leather armor but it couldn't stop good chopping attacks.

  • Ah, then that is no good. I wear very heavy armour, but it is part of my training. I have good agility since I wear this armour daily, it is pretty heavy, the complete set. The upper body is around 22lbs, legs around 16lbs. Total weight is around 50lbs, includes lower layer and most gear for me, yours may be a 40lbs, since you carry lighter gear it seems. I have an exo to aid my movement as well, that is a key factor. But you want 20lbs combined total armour weight, and so I have another solution: maybe some thin carbon fibre armour? It will cost you more, and doesn't last as long, but provides decent protection.
