Yes, it is pretty light, gives moderate protection, but it lasts a long time, take it to me to get it repaired. The problem is the price, it may cost a bit more than just a pretty penny. Weight is maybe 16lbs for complete set, 10lbs upper, 6lbs lower. Problems are the fire, if stuff gets hot enough, like really hot, then this stuff will melt on you, but that's high intensity flames, hotter than Cobalt usually conjures. But overall, good stuff.
