Why are you against weed?
I am simply curious as to what the more popular reasons are for people who are against the use of cannabis.
So if you are against it, what is your reason?

I can understand that people believe that weed is supposed to be really bad for you but with a little research it has proven to do less damage to you than alcohol.

This is then how teenager die at house partys after being given pills or after just [i]trying[/i] coke.

3 RepliesEdited by Lit Dandelion: 8/7/2015 1:55:07 AMMostly because I don't believe that enough research has been done,and my dad is a retired DEA officer.My anecdotal evidence from his stories and experiences is something I think I should put first infront of a project that may be wrong.Plus,way back in the early 1900s,cigarettes were thought to be completely fine and could even cure cancer but look where they are now.Until we are absolutely certain that weed is a safe drug and can be consumed then we shouldn't jump the gun on this one.We should wait until conclusive evidence is achieved. But even then,WHY DOES IT SEEM THAT THE ONLY THING US AMERICANS CARE ABOUT IS WEED?Its outrageous.We have children starving in Africa and riots and huge debt but all the stoners or conversations care about is weed.Its sickening.Weed is a luxury item you shouldn't be worrying about.I don't even like getting into these arguments because it's absolutely a waste of time and money.If they outlawed tobacco and alcohol I wouldn't care because it affects my life about 1% if my time.Rant over

Solution: we only use cannabus for regulated medical purposes, and recreational users get sent to rehab (the only person they're hurting is themself), while dealers get punished (they're encouraging people to hurt themselves and making money off of it). Plus, all the dealer's money gets taken and pays for the regab programs. It's the perfect system.

However, much like beer and cigarettes, it is a waste of money, for lack of a better phrase. And some who defend it tell others that it is harmless, which may be partially true, but, [i]once again[/i], much like alcohol or cigarettes, can cause injury or death. The plant itself may not be harmful, but the inhalation or the mental side-effects are. So if it is legalized, maybe the government should create new laws. [spoiler]tobacco ads must have large print warnings, Alcohol cannot be drunk while driving,etc...[/spoiler]
