Til you get a team that is nothing but thorn and felwinters...one hits you with the dot, your health takes that much longer to regen, then three people blink-shotty you. No end to blink-shotty. Plus, with the number of people who run shotties in this game, if you actually play intelligently, you're likely going to be kept out of the vast majority of fights if you run sniper.
