Under the ramp, behind the metal crates, this cheese that every body refers too is actually called cover. In fact, that whole area is a bunker, so is the one on the opposite side of the room. The light fixtures, I don't know if that is a design mechanic, but they function like bunkers too. Either way, if you're not taking cover, you're just applying for a full membership into the blue falcon organization. Which, going by the behavior of 1337 32's around here, maybe is the premiere organization of choice...
