I'm actually really excited for this! Hopefully the special ammo drop is really small like 4 bullets (or one clip) therefore making the shotgun noobs just noobs. Wasn't too sure what they were on about with heavy ammo, hopefully someone could explain, but this change is really nice!

"GUYS WE'RE TRENDING Lets take back the crucible everyone! Keep posting your pvp thoughts so dev teams can see and take feedback!" This is, in fact, true. :) Happy to hear you're excited about the changes.
-
Now they just need to fix TLW and Thorn and crucible will actually be playable.
-
I think less people should get heavy ammo... Or if more people are around the box it should split amongst them.. The way special ammo is going to be works. But having a whole team with heavy ammo doesn't seem fun to me. I wouldn't have played halo for all these years if once or twice a match everyone got a rocket launcher
-
The only thing that pisses me off is the despawn on heavy ammo. They are completely removing a legitimate tactic from the game. (Spawn the brick, kill the heavy on the other team, grab your brick and rampage unopposed)
-
Too bad this update won't bring me back
-
Heard next update we will be able to play in the sun for the next raid deej can u confirmed plzzz
-
"Special ammo drop? I don't need no stinkin' special ammo drop!" Invective
-
They need a time machine.....as it seems to take 7 months for them to even start to get a clue about feedback.....special ammo is a problem...no really....forums been telling you that since September you f-ing morons....Bungie r useless...
-
The heavy ammo part... A lot of people (since the last heavy ammo patch) have been standing in radius of the crate, but not close enough to automatically pick it up. This gives people the leeway to run around, killing or being killed, being able to backtrack and pick up the heavy ammo block left on the ground once the opposing team has used/wasted theirs. From my understanding, now there will be a timer on any left behind ammo, so people won't be able to save it for when the other team isn't expecting it
-
I'm just wondering if/how the update will affect primary special weapons, for example, universal remote or the mythoclast. Other than that I'm interested to see how it affects crucible
-
Don't know if someone explained the heavy ammo all ready but I will give it a try. You can stand close enough to the crate for the ammo to drop but not pick up. Some people would let the heavy sit on the ground for a minute or two then pick it up so they were the only one that had heavy ammo. They are adding a de-spawn timer so you can't just let your heavy ammo sit on the ground forever.
-
The patch will back fire for players will use invective or icebreaker all the time that point and still have unlimited special ammo that does not drop for others when they die. So you will still see lots of SG users and snipers, just not as many FR users in pvp anymore. unless they have a SG or FR that returns ammo on miss or gives reserve ammo on kill.
-
The secondary ammo crate replenishes the No Land Beyond ammo, so if it's limiting the drops then we need more than 12 bullets for that gun.
-
Best part: those with efrideets spear and final round won't be able to waste 2/3 of their ammo to be able to one shot everyone.
-
do you wana know whats gonna happen? do you think this will stop people using shotguns so much? nope not at all. get ready for the rise of the Invective
-
If this goes through they need to change the Thorn bounty. If a hunter is doing the quest, they are relying entirely on secondary and heavy weapons.
-
With a 5 second warning on heavy ammo inbound you will be getting sniped/supered when attempting to pick it up. Or someone will sacrifice themselves to steal your team's supply.
-
Will we get a shout out when special ammo spawns too? Or will it drop with the heavy? Loads of people are going to miss special altogether
-
Equip icebreaker Spawn ammo Equip shotgun
-
Makes invective and icebreaker a little more useful in crucible.
-
I am hoping they have just one crucible section like this like they did with inferno slayer, so it would be like a test before we accept the new crucible
-
I think this change is a good thing.

Don't throw out the baby with the bath water! As a frequent patience and time wielder, I'm not happy about this update. All this does is ensure that exotic primaries are even MORE dominent in PVP. Now my Three Little Words is great, but it doesn't heal me after a kill. So its a huge advantage to have a primary that will, and I sacrifice that to use Patience and Time in almost every game with my hunter. Now ammo is gonna be more difficult to acquire. I agree shotguns are a low skill weapon that is over-used. How about limiting just their MAG? What about the shotties that get ammo per kill? Thanks for the NERF bungie... want us all to be Red Death and Suros clones.
-
Now every time you go to pick up heavy or special there will be an annoying titan waiting there to titan smash you. Or whatever, golden gun/nova bomb... with fewer crates and timers this will be the next issue. I guess its a good strategy to obtain that multi kill we all love, but very annoying on the other end

Here is my problem... with the new heavy ammo update coming I feel it will end up making everyone use rocket launchers.
