The Spartan III Project was initiated by colonel ackerson in an attempt to outdo doctor Halsey and her Spartan 2 program, it had the nickname project chrysanthemum and they were designed to be cheaper than Spartan 2s and more expendable, there were about 300 made but all But Spartan b312, Kat, Jun, carter, Jorge, and Emile died during operation Prometheus, all but jun died during the invasion of reach, who later became the head of the Spartan 4 project, Jun is the only One left

theres another tom who was a spartan iii who survived operation prometheus with lucy, they went on to train gamma company on onyx which didnt work out but they survived the war

there was a thom and a tom, thoms dad and tom went to train gamma company on onyx with lucy and kurt and mendez and im certain because naomi is in kilo five and lucy is a spartan iii who survived operation prometheus

All Spartan 3s involved in operation Prometheus were killed, Mendez is a trainer of Spartan IIs, so I think you are confusing Spartan IIIS with Spartan IIs, cause I'm the ghosts of onyx, Halsey and johns original team get stranded Inside onyx
