Tournament format will be Best of 6 games, Skirmish/Salvage game mode. The number of teams involved will be based upon how many players we have that want to play. Ideally I'd like to have 5 teams of 3, but if we only get 12 players we will make it work. While I will change the player selection process for each tournament we run, for this initial contest 1 or 3 captains will be chosen from among the player pool based upon OVERALL KDR on all their characters combined. Once the number of captains are chosen, a random selection will be drawn and captains will pick in order until all teams are full. If we have an odd number of players wanting to play, any player not chosen to play in this tournament will be automatically guaranteed a spot in our next tournament. As we obviously can't give a in-game prize for winning, I'll be giving away $250 best buy gift card in this clan to the MVP of the tournament on the winning team if they want it. MVP will be based on overall KDR multiplied by overall score, divided by # of games played in the championship rounds of the tournament. Example: 16000 total points and a KDR of 2.0 over a 4 game span would equal will equal 8000. I think this is the fairest way to determine a MVP, as any player could just camp and get a high KDR, but wouldn't necessarily score a large point total.
