I'm gonna bump, but..... 1 - I'm glad you enjoyed your day off from work/school to come up with all of this (no sarcasm) it's people like you that make me wish bungie had a handfull of ppl like you in the early stages (run-on sentence)
2 - I as well as everyone else is sick of seeing that empty subclass spot, and sick of not being able to use that specific elemental damage.
3 - it shouldn't have to be a quest or mission at all. Considering the fact that we will have to redo all of our gear for dlc 2 just like TDB and I'm betting $1000 that none of our gear will suffice to comet (making that hunt a waste of time and effort) that destiny just NEEDS to give it to us. Because I'm not gonna go for some "we have given you no pve, so do this and we will give you your 3rd subclass." Plot. That blank space is only there simply because they won't let us download it yet, not "earn" it.
But once agin, no sarcasm, thanks for your work that I hope bungie will one day read!

I agree it's needed, I always think so when it's Void Burn on Nightfall and I'm playing my Hunter. And you're probably right, you shouldn't have to earn it, but then again idk. I was just trying to add in value to the new subclasses by making the character have to max out their existing subclasses. I'll probably remove the class story line barrier I was working on, it would simplify the process. Thank you for commenting. :-)

I only play a hunter and I know your pain, had the hardest time with thorns PVE bounty until I got word of crota. I agree with having to have both classes maxed out to obtain though, it should be a must!
