This thread is for anyone who needs help or want's to just chat about Dark Souls 2 in any way shape or form!
If your new to the soul series
The DS series are games that literally warn you "prepare to die". They are challenging games that will make you think in a different way than other games as well as possibly making you cry(lolz). There is no map, you are on your own trying to figure out where to go, while learning mob/boss move sets, llvling up and progressing through the game. In DS2 there are many different weps and spells to use for many varieties of play styles. All in all if you don't end up raging it is a fantastic game that will give you many hours of play time!
If you played the original
DS2 SOTFS will make you fall in love with the game yet again. Their are new mob/Chest/Item placements. All 3 DLCs are included with the game. You can have up to 6 players in one session(perfect for fight clubs). More NPCs to summon, to help you in your world. And more of what we all love, petrified statues in random places. Definitely many hours of gameplay to relive yet again.
Hi all, I'm taking my time through the game, I'm currently just about to enter Drangleic Castle. I had decided to try a dark melee/hex kind of character (as I'd previously never tried hexes at all on the Xbox 360), but I'm finding that my damage output isn't great - pretty noticeable when trying to kill the dwarf chaps who guard the main door to the castle. I'm currently level 97 with VGR 15 END 15 VIT 6 ATN 20 STR 16 DEX 16 ADP 6 INT 28 FTH 28 I'm using Hexer's Hood with Lion Mage everything else (mostly) and have two main melee weapons - a Dark Shotel (+4) and a Dark Mace (+1). I understand that my weapons should be levelled up a bit more, but I wanted to see if my build is viable for PvE (not too bothered with PvP much) and the DLC areas before I commit many souls to levelling my gear further. I do use Hexes as well (with a Sunset Staff and Witchtree Bellvine) but I want to dish out a bit more melee damage if possible. I'm not well-read on various builds or advantages/disadvantages of weapons so any advice is welcome! Thanks.

Anyone who's down to play add haro99 I'm On xbox one

After the second bonfire in the Forest of Fallen Giants and there's a big fort and you find the turtle things. Where do you go? There's a tunnel with a thing shooting fireballs but it doesn't seem fun lol
-
Just started the game. How do you get statues out of the way?
-
Does dexterity also effect how quick you can swing your weapon? Just wondering?
-
Buying this game in about 20 minutes, what character thing should I pick? And go with a strength/dex build I've been told? Never played one of these games before so I'm ready for a rage fest

Edited by SawxFan : 4/27/2015 8:13:19 PMI just beat dark souls one, loved it, and was wondering is dark souls two is worth it? Looks pretty good but kinda different too.
-
I'm not a Souls noob, but I can't get through Dragon Shrine. I figured out when you beat the big guys, the little guys leave you alone. When I open the door to go up the steps, I have about 10 guys coming at me. The npc goes down and then I do.
-
Someone recommend me a fun wep/spells setup...
-
What is the blue smelter demon's weakness? I cant beat him.
-
Is the old iron king supposed to be a joke? He was real easy. So was the rotten.
-
I was wondering when I should tackle the new dlc areas. I played dks 2 on 360 but never got the dlc for it and was wondering if I should do the new areas before or after completing the original content (throne of want).
-
How do I progress further into the Lost Bastille? I need a key but I don't know where it would be.
-
Anyone get Wrath of Gods yet?
-
Does pine resin stay on the weapon forever until taken off? And are there any downsides to putting on a weapon?
-
Best order to complete the DLC areas? Having fun exploring all three. I have to admit though, they are a rough time for a Sorcerer. Is 160 a decent level to do them all? I feel like I should be doing this no problem, but a few of the enemies are a pain in the ass. For example, those white phantom dual wielding samurai looking enemies.
-
Dumb question incoming! How do you jump attack on purpose?
-
Level wise how am I doing? I am level 97 with 700k + soul memory at the smelter demon. Have not entered the saints grave or shaded woods yet
-
So I just killed the skelly lords, and can't decide where to go next. I'm running a battlemage str and int build and have a claymore +9 that I want to infuse with magic, a mace+8 and a fire long sword+8. Where can I go to get some good gear and spells?
-
I just got it the other day. Played it on 360. Just wondering if all or most armour sets are in the same place I.e faraam armour
-
I just killed the the last giant in the forest of the fallen giants and I am wondering where to go next? I opened the door that's down the ladder from the cardinal tower that leads to the hallway that has all the skeletons in it and I'm wondering if that leads to anything?
-
Can someone help me through the second and or third dlc? SL is 160
-
I have never played a from software game and really want to get into them. But should I start with dark souls 2? I play on xbox one. So I guess I don't have much of a choice but I just want to know if I even have a chance of progressing with zero experience.

Little off topic but, how do you add pics to your posts?
-
Are Twinblades worth using or should I stick to my Straight sword and shield combo?

Edited by RJ956: 4/26/2015 1:22:22 AMWhat should I try to keep my equip load under? And is it normal that all of the heide knights are aggroed after killing the dragon rider?
