Dark Souls 2 SOTFS Q&A/Help
This thread is for anyone who needs help or want's to just chat about Dark Souls 2 in any way shape or form!
If your new to the soul series
[spoiler]The DS series are games that literally warn you "prepare to die". They are challenging games that will make you think in a different way than other games as well as possibly making you cry(lolz). There is no map, you are on your own trying to figure out where to go, while learning mob/boss move sets, llvling up and progressing through the game. In DS2 there are many different weps and spells to use for many varieties of play styles. All in all if you don't end up raging it is a fantastic game that will give you many hours of play time![/spoiler]
If you played the original
[spoiler]DS2 SOTFS will make you fall in love with the game yet again. Their are new mob/Chest/Item placements. All 3 DLCs are included with the game. You can have up to 6 players in one session(perfect for fight clubs). More NPCs to summon, to help you in your world.And more of what we all love, petrified statues in random places. Definitely many hours of gameplay to relive yet again.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyAnother one, this time for a no bonfire run: Don't light the bonfires in Things Betwixt or Majula. You can light any other bonfire except those. By missing out those two bonfires, you make it so you return to your starting point in Things Betwixt whenever you use a homeward bone, meaning you don't have to run all the way back from Undead Crypt through the Shrine of Amana, and back through Drangleic Castle after killing Velstadt.

8 RepliesI played a Sorcerer the entire way through the game. I only have the DLC areas left to complete. I've noticed that Sorceries are falling off in damage output compared to everything else (maybe I'm just doing it wrong, who knows). Because of this, I've been thinking of using my Soul Vessels to try out other builds. Which is better for DPS; Hexes or Miracles? Can either of these choices incorporate STR into their builds effectively?

6 RepliesJust a tip that I don't see people do very often: In SotFS, the spiders in Brightstone Cove won't attack you if you carry a torch. This includes the ones in Freja's boss room, so you can focus on Freja alone without having to worry about being hit by the other spiders.

4 RepliesTwo questions, here's the first, So, I ran a Melee/Hex build back when Dark souls 2 standard was released, (Pursers ultra, Gyrm greatshied, Veldstats set, and GRS and RW for hexes) But then hexes got nerfed, and my main build became redundant, and I stopped playing souls around the time of old iron king release) Now I'm back on the "souls train" with my build in scholar being a melee/pyro/magic build. I run Dark Sliverblack spear +10, Heide's spear +7, royal kite shield, Drakeblood armour set, with dark weapon for my spears and whatever pyromancies I'm in the mood for. If I list my stats, can anyone suggest what I should be doing with my build/ if this is a bad setup, and where I should spend my remaining points as I plan on going to 161 to stay in "Fair PVP boundaries" stats are as follows LVL 144, VGR 22, END 21, VIT 22, ATN 13, STR 18, DEX 29, ADP 12, INT 30, FTH 30, thanks. Second question, has anyone else been experiencing difficulty finding summons? Since about the early 100's (with my soul memory probably around 2 mil at that point) I've had a hard time finding anyone to summon. This has been an issue from Dranleic castle up to Old iron king dlc, which is where I am currently. I know how Soul level and Memory work, and I am still on my first playthrough on this character, but 120 was the average to finish the game originally, the 3 dlc's and scholars adjusments can only have raised this, so I really don't feel I'm the one in the wrong here, HELP?

3 RepliesLoved this game until I ran out of human effigys....none left to pick up or buy....monsters stop respawning that dropped them....max hp got too low...was forced to give up, beat dark souls 1 & Demons souls....oh well.....bloodborne is better!
