I waited for my Ghorn, you wait for yours. Just imagine a big line of people waiting to get their Gjallarhorn people waited maybe a day or two others waited 3 months, people made friends and people made enemies in this line. When you first got the ghorn you were ecstatic, a sense of pride and accomplishment rushed through you like a stampede of wild gazelle. Now you just waited for your friends to get one as well, you never really knew when it'd be their turn but when you'd see that yellow text pop up next to a friends name man were you hyped for your friend, screams at the top of everyone's lungs were heard throughout the party chat, Almost brings a tear to my eye. Well I was going for a line metaphor but what I'm saying is, there is no satisfaction of getting something through Xür, like those gazelles we talked about earlier, where are they? I can't even make an unfinished metaphor about earning something through Xür, does everyone really bank on getting everything from Xür? I don't see that as being any fun. Sure it's RNGeesus blessing only a few but I'm sure everyone will at least get one, eventually. If it really isn't that good as you say it is, why just not host a raid yourself and invite those you think suited enough to play a raid or PvP instead of joining a bunch of pretentious assholes? Welp, that's all I got. Call me a snowflake if you must. All I'm saying is earning it is better than Xür-ning it. Waiting every week at 2am on a Friday is going to become very old, very soon. In not saying Xür isn't going to sell it but if he does it's gonna be a while. Bungie has full control of his inventory now, don't you think they'd want those still searching to play a bit longer to keep their servers a bit busy?

  • This game is clearly designed around buying stuff from vendors and hoping you get lucky in the mean time. I've been playing it that way since day 1. After you get the gear from the vendors levelled you're ready for the raid. I cant understand why there's so many people crying about how other people play. You don't like Xur? Fine, don't buy anything from him. I mean anything. No shards, no heavy ammo. Nothing. If it's welfare weapons then it's welfare everything else. If you complain about Xur and have bought ANYTHING from him. You are a hypocrite. End of story.

  • I am not waiting for anything. I have everything but lucky raspberry and the ps exclusives. If you enjoy getting your guns as drops, cool. Buying guns from xur is a CHOICE. If you want to wait to get lucky, go right ahead. I am just saying that he should sell it for grinders who don't want to wait. Btw his table is random so yea. It will happen eventually.

  • Want a metaphor for Xur? Here: Situation 1 - Every day, a man walks down a street. He's homeless and hungry. He does odd jobs for people in the hopes of getting a meal out of it. Then, one day as he's walking down the street, he spies a bag lying on the sidewalk. When he opens the bag, there is a free meal inside. Situation 2 - Every day, another homeless and hungry man walks on the same street. He does odd jobs for people and saves the money that he gets for doing those jobs. Unfortunately, he's no lucky like the first guy, so he doesn't find any food on the street. Instead, he saves the money from the jobs he does. Finally, at the end of the day, after working all day without eating, he has saved enough for a meal. He visits the local grocery and buys that meal. Now, who "earned" their meal?

  • Damn, that's better than my half assed Gazelle Line Metaphor, GG, seems like they both deserved it if they were both looking for the same. I don't know if this was supposed to steer me towards the other direction but I feel the pain of both. But let's give the scenario of Xür never selling it, then what, what will happen to those who saved their money? Now this is only a "scenario" I'm not saying he isn't selling to ever, but what if? There is no controlled variable in the real world, but Bungie does control Xür's inventory now.
