Xur will not sell it until there is something better. Look at the icebreaker. Xur didn't sell it again until after the black hammer is out. And come on, do you really think destiny would destroy the gaming experience for all the new players? No, they want you using an assortment of weapons, not just gjallahorn. Yes, there is a large percentage of bad players that would only use the gjallahorn and not any other exotic. And Bungie doesn't let you play the game the way u want to play, they only want u to play the game the way they want you to play it. The crucible is the best bet to get it, unless your good that is.

Lol yea being good at crucible does ruin your chances there XD. However I disagree with you. Xur is random. He will sell it when he will sell it. That is just how it is.

Xur is no longer random. Bungie does now have the ability to override what he sells. And also, the gjallahorn was removed from his loot table soon after he sold it the first time.

They have always been able to do that. They made him. Duh. They choose to keep him random though. Gjallarhorn was never removed from his loot table. First of all, there was and still is no need to. Second, I can guarantee that you will not find a single official shred of a confirmation on this.
