Imagine being low on Glimmer or strange coins for example and you need that extra piece of currency to purchase something from Xur or from the gunsmith. This is where a gambling stall could come handy in the tower. What is it? The "gambling stall" would be an area in the tower where guardians can complete mini games whilst staking an item(s) hoping for an even bigger reward depending on odds. Let's look at it this way. Xur has arrived and it's now the Saturday night and you've got all but one strange coins needed to purchase an exotic you've always wanted however you've completed the raids, nightfalls and weekly heroics and have little time to pluck your fortune of picking up a strange coin via handing in an engram. You're desperately running out of time but you fancy testing your luck. You enter the gambling stall and notice four other guardians are there who have selected the "strange coins stake". The odds of the mini game are determined on the amount of guardians across the server betting on this same minI game. You can stake as many strange coins as you'd like but the reward is entirely down to the odds, and not how much another guardian next to you have placed down. To make it more fairer, the gambling stall can only be used once a week; just like everything else that resets. How would this be beneficial if I already have a lot of strange coins? Although guardians have an option to select a "strange coins" stake which takes you into a minigame, other guardians can select a different mini game using "radiant shards" as a currency to bet with. What else could we expect? If after a while you're getting bored of materials being a currency, then Bungie could create a new mini game (that becomes available once a month for the duration of a weekend) which now allows guardians to stake exotics of their own as a currency. For example, two guardians could take part in a mini game. Guardian 1 has staked the Suros Regime and Guardian 2 has staked the Gjallarhorn. Whoever wins receives their own stake and the enemies stake. This, like the raids ect, can only be completed once to avoid people abusing this. To make it fairer, you can only do this mini game via a matchmaking system to avoid friends transferring exotics across to their mates.
