To be honest, I think a much better solution to this whole Xur issue would be to make all exotics require a bounty or quest, but that they are only obtainable through Xur once a week for strange coins. It would certainly eliminate this whole ugly earned/xurned debate and give players something more to do. Similar to the current Xur setup, once a week, he'd bring a random exotic bounty for each class and one or 2 weapons. I suppose he'd also continue to bring an exotic engram once in a while as well. Or perhaps a legendary engram instead.

Interesting idea, but we must deal with how it is. Dreaming that bungie will change this game that drastically is fruitless.

Everytime Xur rolls around with exotics, whether they're good or not (unless they're absolute crap), there's usually a dozen "I earned ____" posts by those that childishly want to inflate their ego. But it doesn't change anything other than causing a bunch of the usual animosity and strife among the players in the forums. It's sad really. Wanting to feel superior or special in a [b][u]videogame[/u][/b]. Something that should be fun. Instead everyone takes everything so seriously and throws a tantrum every 30 seconds because of some weird sense of entitlement. The maturity level in this community is rock bottom for the most part.

I agree with the whole elitist immature stuff, but I do think things like this post di affect the community. I am helping many people see my point so that the forums don't explode as big as they would if everyone was an elitist.

Yes, but not everyone will agree, sadly. Perhaps a more concise and carefully worded/thought out explanation would help in convincing the close-minded airheads. Gotta remember, a lot of these egotistical individuals don't seem to have the brain capacity to comprehend or process anything long-winded.

I have encountered a few of those, yes. I apologize for how it is set up and written. It was 2 am and I wrote it without planning. Just wrote stuff as I went along in response to the amount of gjallarhorn elitism on here.
