They will probably release a HoW raid in between release and "comet"
-
I could have swore they were still releasing a raid, however it just was not ready for the release with HOW. My guess is they also want to space out content to keep us going till Destiny 2 or comet whichever it is going to be.

Haha that's right defend them taking more money from us for 1/3 of a game! ;)

No there was no promise of a raid. Bungie should of had a more candor approach to what exactly their season pass holders blindly purchased. The Dark Below had a new raid, so it was assumed that these two expansions mirrored each other based on price. Comparatively on price, Bungie's DLCs have offered very little in opposition to other MMO expansions. Most MMO expansions offer new dungeons, new raids, and new classes at the same price. Mindful that some of these are on a subscription basis. To offer a lackluster, content-less vanilla game to begin with, plus a DLC with a few backwards, reskinned maps, ships, and weapons, then offer no raid with this new content, despite the delays and nerfs; Bungie has set the bar to an all time low by any optimistic light.

i say i don't mind paying for the add-on as-long as i don't have to pay again to get the raid to the HOW cause thats ripping off you clients guy's as we have already lost out on the content of the game so play fare

There ya go

It was the expectation. Do you play the game for PVP? If so that's cool. If not, you're one of the 85% of people that play for PVE that up until 2 days ago was expecting a raid. Don't act like a smug prick with posts like that, as if you knew there wasn't a raid coming and everyone else was just misinformed! How many people would have purchased season pass if they knew they were only getting 1 raid? Guaranteed answer: less than actually did. Doesn't matter if this new end game content is good or not (I'm sure it will be great), but that's irrelevant and it doesn't satisfy the expectation. What Bungie shouldn't do is try to justify decisions with stats. What they need to do is use some humility and honesty. They fu€ked up.

Please the "leak" was Activision. All major entertainment companies do this since a year. Welcome to the present

It was not likely leaked information nothing was set in stone hen that image came out

Edited by Jrrd997: 4/16/2015 2:41:41 AMIt was expected to recieve a new raid I think, i mean it was status quo, however brief to get a raid per content/dlc release purchased. WoW didnt do that with their new content, it was always a significant change to the world, new armor, new bgs, etc., not just battlegrounds only and some fixes, and further the story. Im not annoyed as the other players but its a let down, and moreover, it feels like it's just going to cost more money to get the content we really want. This should be free. Its making a smallish game bigger, but at a fundamental level that sounds like we should have had upon release anyway, especially if there is no raid. This game suffers from lack of content in general due to age, so new content whatever it is to create a bigger less repetitive experience is awesome. ...i still love the game.

Exactly my point; a raid was NEVER said to come. The season pass is 5$ cheaper than buying them separately which is what I did so I can specultate before blindly paying for something. Plus why would you want another raid instead of trying something different? I'm sure what they're doing with the arena will be alright
-
I bought my expansion pass three days after buying the game. The game came with a slip in the case advertising the expansion pass. If you read that "official" piece of advertising, you will see the word raid doesn't appear on it! They never promised people a raid with each DLC. They promised strikes, missions, PVP and PVE content. Gear and weapons. They added a new raid with Crota and they failed miserably and rather than make the same mistake again they're taking their time. Just accept what they're giving you and stop complaining about every detail. You've properly played over 400 hours at this point, probably more. For £75 id say that's good value for money. If the games that bad then trade it in!

While i would have liked to see some new raid gear and such, i feel like they are trying something different and thats ok with me. However I would have liked to go into a new raid with my friends and have a few good laughs at all of the new and exciting fails that we would have discovered

I've read that so often I looked up the season pass description from multiple retailers. Either they all ninja edited the season pass description in the last two days together, or there was no such promise. Am I disappointed there's no raid with HoW? Sure. A little. However, I'm keeping an open mind. It seems like this recent update and HoW will be giving the community many things they've been asking for and the overall package could easily be better than a broken and rushed raid.

lol, I bet you wish you didn't start this thread.....

They actually never did. A datamined screen shot is far from an official Bungie statement.
-
They did say there would be a new Raid then again the user agreement says all content is subject to change.

Purchasing this digital content entitles you to both the digital Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions. Expand your Destiny adventure with brand new story missions, cooperative and competitive multiplayer arenas, and a wealth of all new weapons, armor, and gear to earn. The Destiny Expansion Pass includes Destiny Expansion I and Destiny Expansion II. *DLC content in the Expansion Pass may be sold separately. If you purchase the Limited Edition or Ghost Edition with the Expansion Pass, do not also purchase the standalone Expansions, as you will be charged for them. Expansion Pass and DLC may not be available on all platforms or in all territories. Content available following the game’s launch. Pricing and release dates may vary by platform. that's the description on http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Destiny-Expansion-Pass/c7cec0eb-1e66-4f7b-9eb2-ba5c67dd4194 For all those who try to say there's a raid

Edited by OPTlMlST PRlME: 4/15/2015 4:51:07 PMit was shown in the ten year plan but that was leaked content as well. everyone got there hopes up. i guess. http://www.destructoid.com/ul/285628-leaked-photo-shows-bungie-s-possible-plans-for-destiny-in-2015/eyD9lVM-noscale.jpg

A leaked image does not equal an explicit promise. There are assets "hidden" in a lot of games. Dumbasses go ahead and think "OMG DLC details/illuminati CONFIRMED"
-
No, Because Bungie pulled down all their old updates recently. Updates only go back to March now. Sneaky little scam artists
-
Which is worse. Bungie releasing another broken raid or not releasing it at all until it is finished properly? I do think bungie had every intention on releasing a raid for HOW but it isn't up to par. With the disastrous crota raid I think they knew better than to release something that wasn't quite ready. So rather than delay the entire expansion just act as if they did something different even thought the new mode was most likely supposed to launch with the raid. Bungies options were most likely this: Release a broken raid = Piss a lot of people off Don't release a raid = Piss a lot of people off Delay the expansion again = Piss a lot of people off The only thing they could have done to appease people is to release everything at once and for it to work perfectly. Of course many of you would have completed it all in a day which = pissing a lot people off. I have found that no matter what Bungie does it includes pissing a lot of people off.

You know what's fun? Reading people comments with what voice you think their avatar picture would sound like, try it.
