Check out the video. It is only a minute long
Since the 1.1.2 patch and the changes to the sword, there is no reason to cheese the bridge anymore. It is easier to do the bridge legit now then it was to cheese the bridge before the patch. Making soloing and low manning CE much easier and more enjoyable.
Edit: Since this question keeps coming up. The reason there are three gatekeepers is because I was testing the sword out to see how the changes worked. I killed two swordbearers just to see how timing with the sword works. There is no reason you couldn't do what was done in the video with the first swordbearer so you only have one gatekeeper.

Cool video...when I'm bored I spawn a bunch a gatekeepers like that the b fly across with my titan just to see how many I can kill...so far only 4 :(

Thanks for sharing. Good job. Will try it later

Edited by j0ri1337: 4/20/2015 6:11:27 PMmy Way: i pick up the sword, jump off the Cliff and spam r1 to Fly on the rock an the far right, jump up and kill gatekeeper, Even got flawless raider by soloing this way

Ive tried this multiple times and everytime, I have 15+ thralls just waiting to kill me after I kill swordbearer. Any suggestions?
-
Thanks ill try this later

The point of the video is the sword now lasts for 30 seconds regardless of when you pick it up. Whether you want to cheese or not cheese, that is useful information.

Edited by TSGN Leviathan: 4/20/2015 4:26:01 PMAs much as it pains me to say this, I have to disagree with those who call it glitching. Gaming is all about putting you in new scenarios. Games like Destiny want you to be robust and find new ways of accomplishing things; this can include use of terrain, general knowledge of how game mechanics stack up either for or against you, etc. A glitch is where someone does something to reach or do something that should not be possible at all in-game, such as those used to explore locked DLC areas like King's Watch and Traitor's Ketch. that is glitching because you are exploiting a minute technical oversight to get a sneak peek at content that is meant to be paid for. I have never seen anyone glitch in Crota, just using what they know about the Raid and how it works. People know that the thralls will despawn on the first side if no one is present, and they know that Warlocks can self revive and that you can use the terrain to traverse the tower on the right. If bungie don't like that then the solutions seem pretty simple to me: change it so the Thralls and Acolytes DONT despawn when that side is clear, add an invisible barrier that stops people from scaling the tower, change the functionality of the sword by increasing how far you drop when swiping in the air. These are easy fixes for problems that they created themselves. If they can't be bothered applying these easy fixes, then they have no right to complain.

I'm tired of all this talk about cheese. As long as someone isn't using glitches or anything does it really matter?
-
you kknow there is a thing called crossing bridgeless??
-
Ok guys if you call this a glitch then explain how you do it legit solo??
-
Hey man there is something wrong with your post. I clicked the link and it actually takes you to a video of some guy cheesing the bridge.

Edited by EdinburghKev: 4/19/2015 7:27:15 PMWhy is there 3 gate keepers on the other side? Edit: I've read all the posts and understand why there is 3.
-
No offense but this is just as much of a cheese. You are deliberately working around the function of the totems. Ie. death for not holding totems while building bridge. This is no different than avoiding building the bridge. Just a different cheese.
-
Y'all really think this is a cheese? He's literally doing exactly what you're supposed to do to activate the bridge lol. The totems activate after standing on the center for TOO LONG. not immediately when you get on the center. Please tell me how this is in any way an exploit and not a game mechanic, PLEASE.

Awesome!

Reply too check later?

Ehhhhhh. I find it easier to just grab the sword and swing your way across. A lot less gatekeepers to give you trouble.
-
Where were the thralls and acolytes on the sword bearer side???
-
Someone reply so I can find this later please.

Edited by Yb91xTitan1x: 4/15/2015 3:22:38 PMSorry. Can't get video to load here at work... So I can't watch it. But I think people cheesed not because it was difficult but because it was a lot faster to just cheese it than wait for 6 swordbearers to pop out... 6 people to get across. 6 gatekeepers to kill . Then kill ogres.

Thanks for posting this. I have never been able to get the hang of cheesing the bridge solo (I know, "Git Gud Scrub" ; P). Now I feel confident that I can finally get thru this part of the Raid solo. XD !!!!!
