Here's some tips from a Day 1 Hunter:
1) Don't stick something with a Tripmine if they're remotely headed towards you. The 'splosion is bigger than you'd think.
2) Your invisibility is a godsend. Use it and abuse it.
3) People can still see you if you blink strike them in Crucible.
4) PvE enemies will still attack the location they last saw you if you go invisible, so be careful.
5) Blink cancels your invisibility, but double jumps do not.

I've been playing hunter since day one and I still kill myself with trip mine. It's got some really good range in one direction.

True that. Tripmine suicides are one of the main reasons I switched to Bladedancer. I miss getting rewarded for my precision kills though.
