Hello everyone I just want to make a quick reminder that if you're using turtle beaches or a gaming headset, you should give your ears a break every thirty minutes. I have had tinnitus (constant ringing in ears) for the past three months and trust me, being 20, it is no fun at all. Tinnitus is almost always permanent. So give your ears a much needed break during extended play.
-This has been a friendly reminder by your best buddy, kirmitTHEfrog

I must bump it

This old topic is old

I blame my Tinnitis on a overly loud engineered Buckethead concert. I dont blame Buckethead, I blame teh sound engineer who boosted the his TOO MUCH, my girlfriend agreed it was too loud and we left early. We had seen tons of concerts, and that was the loudest one ever. I had ringing in my ears ever since.

Just turn the volume down, dummy.

*grabs popcorn*

On a slightly unrelated note: I often think this about Ketamine users who have their ears glued to the bass all night. But at the same time I guess they are taking Ketamine so they probably do not give a single -blam!- about life.
-
I've had Tinnitus ever since I was a baby. I'm 18 now and I've gotten used to it but it's really not that hard to deal with. It can get really annoying in quiet areas though
-
I have tinnitis and used to it, only times I realize sre when im about to sleep or everything is super quiet. It sucks but to be honest isnt a big deal.
-
I would believe you if i was 11 yr old...

Had a headset glued to my skull for 6 hours a day for about four years now, no problems Except when I went deaf in one ear for four months
-
Everyone is still salty about the share play lol
-
I've been playing percussion all my life so I know what you mean when you say give your ears a break.
-
Just make sure you shareplay with this guy
-
Go -blam!- yourself fag
-
Turn them down, problem solved.
-
Ive had it since birth.
-
Of course it's this guy
-
Sometimes my ears start to hurt really bad and give me headaches. Thank you
-
Good, hope both your ears fall off, that will be your payback for deleting kids characters, twisted
-
What would we do without you looking out for us.

Turn that volume down. It only makes sense. I've worked around fighter jets for 6 years (F-16 in particular), double hearing protection goes a long ways. But headphones causing tenitus? That's just bad judgement.
-
Hope you get better! I use my headset only during raids, so taking breaks every once in a while.

A lot of people have had tinnitus all their lives, and it is very easy to ignore it, simply by not bringing it up, but now that you have brought up the discussion, lots of people will now start hearing the ringing noise in their head now. Tinnitus is very similar to bringing up the phrase "You have just lost The Game." once you say it, you can't go back.
Oh, btw, you've just lost The Game.
Wow, what a swell fellow. 10/10 OP, will consider
