It seems that people don't like it when there is that one op weapon out there, but we can't just have everything nerfed down to pillows and marshmallow guns. So what if everything was op? What if everything killed you in two seconds? Would people still complain?
I am not saying it should be implemented. I am just curious about what people think about this.
Every way I kill you is just a demonstration of my undeniable skills. Every way you kill me is either an act of treachery, or proof that the game is broken..... No matter what you do the weapon system, PVP players will complain...because that is what they do. The losses and frustration in PvP feel very personal in away that they dont in PvE play. So all manner of character defenses get triggered in coping with them. The two favorites are trash talking down lesser players. The other is by insisting that you aren't struggling because you suck.....you're only struggling because the game is broken. As long as there are poor players, there will ALWAYS be players demanding weapon nerfs.

We have an example of this, from recent memory. Modern Warfare 2. There were so many OP guns in that game, it was crazy. Everything killed fast and took no skill ( little to no recoil, huge mags). This is a way to approach things, but the negative side of this approach is a lower skill cap than most games want to have, especially PvP games meant to be competitive. Bungie, Like DICE, is having a difficult time figuring out how much to nerf its game. We'll see how well they do as this game plays out.

The problem with the current OP gun is that it kills in about a quarter of a second. Yeah the vex and suros, pre-nerf, were pains but each could be out done by other weapons at close range. Now TLW is shining through because of the low ttk at close AND mid range. It makes no sense when I normally go 1.5-2 kd ratio with a scout rifle and being outgunned in the scout rifle range by the last word, regularly. For example on shores of time I normally get outgunned when Im around C spawn and I get killed from the area near the B flag, again I like to use scout rifles and I was being outgunned by the last word regularly. If it was a small room I wouldn't have a problem because that is what tlw is designed for. but it has an exceptional range for what should be a close quarter weapon.

We don't need a nerf of something. Just an Exotic rebalance. Right now, only Exotics are "problematics".

Dirty Dan thinks auto rifles and scout rifles needs a buff the the crucible will be balanced.

Sensical poster here, that would be going to the CoD and BF route, that usually makes all guns viable. Thorn and TLW actually do kill in about 2 seconds, so alot of people have a right to complain, balancing needs to be done, but things should get buffed rather than nerfs happening.

I really don't want to see this. Making everything kill quickly would make reaction time and who fired first far more important than any other skills like aiming and movement when under fire. It would also lead to more deaths to lucky shots.

Assault rifle adjustment Assault rifles suffered to a somewhat reasonable degree, except for the wrong reason. Assault rifles need to maintain good damage an should not have their damage over reduced. Instead to compensate it should be their range that affects them the most. So instead of reducing damage, reduce range to that point so assault files can shine better at closer ranges. Shotgun nerf Shotgun range needs to be nerfed a bit more. We should be looking more into the distances that it is okay to be killed from, even with perks such as shot package and toning it down from there. Battle rifle nerf Battle rifles are pretty close to on point after the update. I would like to see a 1 damage point reduction in battle rifles by whatever percentage that may be as far as in PvP. Doing this will bring weapons like the red death and three little words more in line as 7-burst kills 6 to the head and 1 burst to the body. They still remain three shot kills. The Last Word and the Thorn nerf Change the last words aiming so the first bullet that is shot while aimed quickly isn't treated as a hip shot. Change the thorn's tic damage so it becomes less when getting hit with a body shot, taking away it's ability to kill in 3 body shots but leaving the victim a definite 1 shot. No land beyond buff After the update it is more difficult to rely on, it has never been a stand alone weapon because of its inconsistencies. Remove the glint, adjust the sights so the visuals don't hinder it and reduce the sway. Replace mulligan with a perk that allows you to chamber a bullet faster once you have missed a shot. Then decrease the range and increase the damage. The necrocasm buff Decrease it's range, increase its damage, And up the standard clip size from 42 up to 52. Thanks for reading.

Scout rifles should get increased flinch on headshots. If you're close and you land it first, the pistol/etc. user should pay dearly for that mistake. No increased damage, just an acknowledgement of the fact you've just been domed by a rifle. Would help with the ridiculously long TTK

Is anyone alive here?
