Walking into the Dojo I notice that the tournaments will be starting again.
As I smile I see that the Dojo is moving through space. Making my way to a large window I pass some time looking out it.

-
*walks up beside you, gazing out the window* Hey.
-
I turn and wave. "Hey! Nice to see you again! Ever get your sword back?"
-
No... No I have not. But I have a suspicious feeling that I'll be seeing it soon... *looks at you* So, what've you been up to lately?
-
"Not too much honestly. But I did see that there will be tournaments soon. Very exciting! Are you going to participate?"
-
... *a strange look passes over his face* Maybe. A storm is coming, and we can only enjoy the calm for so long before the first raindrop of discord hits. Do you plan on observing, or would you like to participate?
-
Catching the change on your face I listen with a sharp and cautious curiosity. As you mention the tournament my expression remains happy. "Haha, oh no not me. I'll keep a low profile and cheer the others on. Enjoy some Starbucks no doubt. I see others are already preparing."
-
Indeed they are. This tournament will be good to remind people of who we once were... But I fear for the future and if our honourable traditions will survive. *face lightens up a little* Hey, you want a drink or something? I could use something to get me off my mind.
-
"I would love a drink with a friend." I smile. "Although with time things wane, there is an ebb and flow. What was once great will be again, even if it is not directly in our lifetime."
-
*walks into Starbucks* Whatcha want? Pumpkin Spice is free, because between the crates of those and the crates of Uggs in the back rooms, we have tons of both.
-
"You know what? A pumpkin spice would be great. I'll have to pass on the Uggs though." I laugh a little. "I can only imagine how you became burdened with those amount of Uggs!"
-
*brings out crate of lattes* *cracks a slight smile* That in itself is its own joke. *hands you latte*
-
I laugh and sip my Latte. "Thank you, I'm not totally sure which is better right now." Breathing in the aroma of the latte I close my eyes and grin. "The coffee? Or the company?"
-
I guess both go hand in hand. *sips my own latte* So, what did you do before you came here? Many different people arrive to fulfill different purposes, some maybe unbeknownst to them. But why are you here?
-
I chuckle and sip some more. "Well now that is very true. Both are excellent indeed. Hmm as for my past and appearance here... Well it's a bit complicated." Sighing I continue. "I'm definitely not here to start trouble. Let me first and foremost get that out of the way. But the Dojo is a good cover." A nervous smile appears on my face. "I just keep a low-profile and everything is fine."
-
...Don't fret if you think your past will catch up with you here. This is not only a house of warriors, but a refuge for those wanting to begin anew. *takes a long sip* I can say this now, most of our members here have dark pasts, some coming here to hide from it, others gathering strength to face it.
-
"Thank you, I really appreciate this. It's been a while since I have felt safe. It never lasts long, but I think this is one of the nicest times I've had." Drinking more of the coffee I have the curiosity to ask. "So how did you come to the Dojo?"
-
*looks out window thoughtfully and then answers* Honestly? I don't know. Like I said, I've figured out that this is a place for wanderers, and the fulfiller of purpose. At first... I didn't know why. But then through a couple of fights, nightmares, and out of body experiences, I realized that I was running from something. My own past... That was clear enough to see. I suppose to explain how I got here, I would have to explain the history of the dojo. And lord knows how long that is.
-
"Hmm I understand." With a wistful breath I sit back and cross my legs. "Well if you every feel like going down memory lane, I love stories."
Gotta bounce, thanks for the chat~! And coffee!
-
Seeya!
*watches as you go out* One day, all shall know my story. And the legacy shall live on, inspiring others to create their own.
