I think the game does need an activity somewhere between the raids and strikes. My hopes are that the Prison Of Elders is more of a mini raid than just a horde style mode.
I think a mini raid would be cool for nights that I don't have 5 other friends online to play CE or VoG. I can typically fine 2 other friends to play with so another activity that supports 3 players is cool with me.

You have crotas end for a mini raid :S

I think as referring to mini in terms of the amount of people, not in time to complete.

Crota is a small and easy raid 25 30 min top on hard and in normal you can solo all the raid with no help inst like vog for me crotas end was a fail..i want to see this arena :D

Looks like a randomized mini raid with waves of enemies before an imprisoned elder is released as the boss.
