What would be nice, is if the arena was like a 6 man team gets split into two, only to join up again at the end, all while still being able to talk and having to coordinate and interact with the other group.
So for example, if we used Crota as an example for "horde mode", the 6 man team does the abyss together, fights that wave, but they get teleported to two identical bridges in different worlds in teams of 3. Then the three sync plates have to be activated (but not held) in the same order in both places to form the bridge, and fight that wave of ogres and wizards. Then both teams fight their own deathsinger, killing her at the same time, otherwise the one revives the other, and then fight through their own wave of knights etc.
Then everyone gets teleported back to the same venue for the final boss as a 6 man team again.
It'd be even cooler if one world was arc and the other was void, only to have it switch halfway through.

Yeah that's a great idea man. I'm anxious to see how this new mode turns out
Yeah that's a great idea man. I'm anxious to see how this new mode turns out
Anxious is a good word. But you know, honestly, I think it's better going in not knowing what to expect. I mean, imagine if we were getting a raid! That's all we'd be talking about, hyping it up, analyzing it, breaking it down, talking about how "if it's not better than VoG then I'm done with Destiny," making the expectations SO huge that it would fail before it even got released, since there'd be no way to live up to the hype we would've created. No, I for one am glad for something new and different. Besides, we're still getting a raid at some point. And it will have a better chance of being great.

Yeah totally agree, everybody just needs to have some patience, and also they could be a little hostile towards Bungie. Just think of all the people who dedicate all their time to making this, I'm sure they were excited to reveal it finally after all their work, just to have it completely shot down by bratty little kids.

Edited by aidan316: 4/19/2015 5:56:28 PMWhat's sad to me is that it might be those bratty little kids' fault we're not getting a raid in the first place. Bungie said they had "been humbled" by the reception of the Raids, so they didn't put one in HoW. To me that sounded like "you guys gave us soooooo much crap for both raids, that we're second guessing ourselves."

Yeah you are spot on, they complain about the raids, then complain about no raid. This is a tough market because there is just no pleasing everyone

Lol well hey, I'm pleased. This game is a lot of fun. Still. And I'm not expecting a sequel with every expansion, you know? And obviously a ton of people still play, otherwise we wouldn't even be here.

Little less* hostile

I wouldn't feel too bad for bungie. Many people are living large off of this game. I think they can handle bratty kids whining.
