The original gears of war horde mode was amazing. Model that and this will tide many over until the next raid. Subsequent GoW horde modes got gimmicky. The original was pure and perfect.

IMO nothing can ever match GOW2's Horde mode. They pioneered it and it's something I believe no other horde mode was ever able to match.
