Cold... The snowy hills of Antarctica were cold in this cloudy, snowy night. But perhaps not as cold as the Fallen patrolling around the Ether Warehouse. These Fallen wore black cloaks and prevented anyone from entering and stopping the Servitors form producing Ether, if anyone ever considered looking all the way there. As such, they thought their guard duty was a waste of time.
But what they did not know was that on that very night, a man was seeking to break in...
Standing on a hill by a dead Dreg and a Pike was a Titan mercenary named Ulysses. He aimed his weapon of choice, the No Land Beyond, at the warehouse. There was 2 Vandals by the door and 3 on the roof, all armed with Wire Rifles, along with 3 other Dregs circling the warehouse with Pikes. He called out his Ghost, Sydonus, and asked:
"Sydonus, remind me who Zavala wants dead again?"
"An Archon named Sylas." told him Sydonus. "He serves the Fallen House of--"
"I don't care much about that." replied Ulysses, interupting his Ghost. "Just remind me of the reward we'll recieve."
"We will recieve 2500 Glimmers and 200 Vanguard Marks if we kill him AND destroy the Ether supplies."
"Damn! They really want him dead!" exclaimed Ulysses. "And are you sure he is hiding back here?"
"According to 3 Hunters, 2 of these Fireteam members now dead, who have stalked Sylas, yes. He is in the facility and probably has hundreds of Servitors producing Ether."
Ulysses took a deep breath and fired the Vandals on the rooftop. Their heads leaked Ether as they exploded. The Dregs drove their Pikes to the headless corpses that had fell from the roof and met the same fate before they even knew were the shots came from.
Ulysses grinned as he climbed on the Pike of first victim and charged at the gate of the warehouse. One of the Vandals was stormed by Arc bolts from the Pike as he attempted to shoot Ulysses with his Wire Rifle. The other Vandal drew his Shock Blades to try and hit him on his vehicle, but was splattered as the Titan rammed through the gate with his Pike.
Once inside, Ulysses drove pass hundreds of containers filled with Ether. Servitors were processing Ether when they noticed him and started firing. The merc accelerated when he saw a tall Fallen in black armor and cape standing near a window up a ramp to an observation platform.
"That's Sylas!" exclaimed Sydonus.
Sylas turned around just in time to see the Pike rush towards him. With his 2 lower arms, the Archon blocked the impact of the vehicle, after which he grabbed Ulysses with his 2 other arms and threw him off the window.
Ulysses fell down on a sheet of ice that cracked when he fell on it. He held his left arm in pain for it had absorbed the shock. Then the Titan quickly rolled to the side as Sylas tried to jump on his head from the window of the warehouse.
Ulysses was no longer in condition to fight the Archon, but noticed the ice was thin under him. Thus, Ulysses smashed the ground under Sylas with his Fist of Havoc, shattering the ice and sending him sinking into the cold water.
"And just to be certain..." said Ulysses as he drew his Gjalahorn and fired a rocket down where the Fallen fell. Seconds later, Sylas' head surfaced with its damaged helmet.
"Nice work! Zavala wil--" As Sydonus finished his sentence, a Stealth Vandal grabbed him. Ulysses was about to intervene but 6 others aprehended him and, since he was injured, could not evade his capture...
