  • I'm privileged because I work for what I have?

  • Consider what you are saying. If you spend $35 per day, that is $700 a month, JUST for you, JUST to feed your face and get fat. (20 days of working each month or so on average). If you have a wife, and she practices the same ABSURD diet, then that's another $700. So that's $1,400 just for two fat cows to eat out and go to work each month. But of course logic and common sense aren't your strong suit since by your own JUSTIFICATION, anyone who can't afford $15 for ANYTHING they want is somehow pathetic or useless. However, anyone with half a brain knows you just mean $15 for BUNGIE, your lord and savior.

  • Food is generally supposed to cost you around 15% of your take home income. So besides the fact that I'm in pretty decent shape...I'm also spot on for money spent. Get a job.

  • That stat is completely wrong and off since for a family with four kids, it is going to be much higher, while a household with just a husband and wife is going to be much smaller most likely. Regardless, if you are bringing home around 60,000 and spending 15% of that money on food JUST for yourself, that's A LOT of money. Furthermore, people don't have to be VAIN to eat. Most of my meals at home cost me anywhere from $1.20 to $3.00+. You don't have to be a lazy pig and eat out every meal either. What you are advocating is vanity and laziness, while justifying other purchases simply because you are vain and lazy, and spend copious amounts of money on yourself to feed yourself, since you see yourself as special.

  • No. It isnt...15% is the actual number that any economics lesson will teach you. A meal will cost you 1-3 bucks? What are you eating, Ramen noodles for dinner? For $1 you literally can't even buy a pack of gum. I'm not gloating one bit either, I myself am single (to the irs at least). My girl and I live together, but I don't have kids. I'm sure when I have a family my expenses my will change in how their delegated, but they'll never go down...only up. 75% of my company is older than me, all of which have families etc...and we order in almost daily together.

  • You can walk down your street and mow someone's lawn in an hour for 10 bucks. Money is easy to come by if you look hard enough. What is stopping you from making money?

  • Me and my wife make around $3000 a month. So and we probably spend around $600 in food a month. So I don't really see him being that farfetched.

  • I too could splurge on myself and spend $700 to $1000 a month on myself. What does that accomplish in trying to justify or demonize or insult others who feel they may not be able to afford $17.50 to $20 within their budget. And besides, you and your wife spend $600 a month. This fatty spends $700 all on himself....

  • I'm without question in better shape than you. If you weren't illiterate you'd see girls coffee meaning my girlfriends coffee. If you understood real life, you'd know that when you work a real job...you will spend around 4-500 a month on food as you spend more time out of your house than home. Anything else?

  • OK calling OP fat is just rude, you have no idea what OP looks like. I didn't see anything in his post besides saying that people are freaking out over something they haven't gotten for money that they most likely spend everyday without thinking about it. Games are a luxury item no matter what kind of budget a person has. And the almost religious crusade some seem to have about content they have not received is ludicrous.

  • If someone eats like the OP every day, that WILL lead to a overweight body. Even still, I'll give you that one. However, my CRUSADE is only for truth and seeing things as they are, and not towards one extreme or the other. While it is true that Bungie held back content, as evidenced from the trailers, (most likely at Activision's behest), and it is also true that while we were to most likely get most of the content in Dark Below and House of Wolves, (keep in mind this is 6 missions, 2 to 4 Strikes and 2 Raids), it does sting even more for some that we aren't even now getting a Raid. For me, I like Destiny, but I AM NOT a fanboy, nor will I be an apologist for Bungie, or "see the bright side" in spite of myself. What most of you are doing is forgetting that whether you paid $1 or $50, salesmanship and ethics remain the same. You are quick to dismiss any and all perceived wrongs by Bungie simply because of your bias (whether conscious or subconscious) for them, whereas you would NEVER let McDonald's or Burger King, or some other company that you held no affinity or bias to get away with it. I'm just here to keep things as fair as possible.

  • Eh, I've seen people eat a lot more food then that and struggle to keep weight on them. Myself included at one time. I'm not worried about cut content. Things happen with game development that are only known to the company making it. The only way you can look at this the same as with every other companies advertising. Such as the BoGos* or get half off all stores* that have the really good stuff in bold print while the actual details are slightly smaller. Even if a raid was on the advertisement it still did probably say this content is subject to change. I don't remember what this game originally promised because I don't follow hype at all because it usually never comes through. Raids are just OK in destiny anyways. Yes the first time running through it and beating the boss is a great feeling and it's always a fun time with friends. Once you've done it a few times that's it. It's going to be the same thing from then on. I stopped playing in March when bloodborne came out because I had done crota enough times to get everything I wanted and wasn't having the same amount of fun as before. I'm actually happy that we have something different from a raid to do. I've already been talking about having a clan competition in PoE. But it really doesn't matter, we both have differing opinions on this and we're both entitled to them.

  • No, he's right, 15 dollars is nothing. And if this amount is such a huge deal to you then you should definitely not be spending it on video games.

  • No, he's wrong and you are vain. You are thinking in terms of House of Wolves. I am thinking in terms of EVERYTHING one might want for $15 in their lives. The world is NOT just Destiny. I have more games than you ever will have, and spend FAR more than you ever will (5,640 games, 183 consoles). It doesn't mean I have to be vain about it. I bought the House of Wolves near launch, but that doesn't mean for others, it is not big deal. I know many families who struggle to make their bills each week, and for everyone in the house to have any and all $15 purchases they might want is just out of the question. But you are not looking at common sense or logic, or compassion. You are just defending your god.

  • Have more games than I do? Ok, yea that's a possibility, not sure how that ties in to this subject but I'll go with it, defending a god? That right there lost me, I'm not defending anyone, I'm just stating how retarded some of you sound with the posts bashing something you haven't even seen, you're upset at the fact that your assumptions we're wrong, who's fault is that, your own.

  • Bungie saw NO reason to correct our misinformation. They did this deliberately and waited until one month and 6 days before dropping the bomb. As for me, I like Desitny and WILL play this DLC as well as probably the next ones as well. However, as a Console Video Game Historian/Analyst/Enthusiast, I give no manufacturer/developer/publisher a free pass. I BASH all who deserve it and try to show 100% no bias. While $15 is a very low sum, even though in fairness, it is $17.50 now, or $20 if you just buy House of Wolves, I am talking about reality overall, and the fact that Destiny IS NOT the only thing people do in life. There are other games people in the household want, toys, sports uniforms, pools, bikes, and SO many other things. So to somehow narrow in on ONE purchase and act as though all other purchases aren't equated into that choice to spend $17.50 or $20, is to me ignoring facts in order to justify a purchase to a company that you highly esteem, or in the case of the OP seem to worship.
