Take off the name-engraved ring. All that does is makes it easier for people who both choose the same god to find each other. So for instance if you are playing with a friend but you're in an area that has a lot of summon signs, you both would put the ring on and choose the same god so that way you would only see someone with that god and nobody else would see your sign unless they just so happened to have chosen that same god too. So yea, just take the ring off and you'll get summoned a bunch more :)
