I kiss your forehead and whisper that it will be ok.
Then I begin a small chant. Just a little bit of light magic.
Painfully your arm comes back. In exchange for the use of light magic I am drastically weakened. My face pales and dark rings circle my eyes. I sit back with a weak smile.
The lackeys flood up the stairs and pour into the throne room.
Suddenly the whole place shakes and the lights turn red. There is a gnashing of teeth, howls, screams and the aura of the castle turns dark and foreboding.
