Ah man this reminds me of Old Mans War, a brilliant little sci fi novel. In it the characters get an AI implanted in their brains. They all invariably rename the AI "dipshit" or the like. Then you see a character in he middle of a conversation suddenly say "yo bitch, what time is it?" It takes a second to realize they're not speaking to anyone actually present...
