Its not so much about making it more difficult its more about restricting creativity and preventing players from playing how they want. By removing sniping options bungie is taking away a legitimate strategy from players. Also by continuing this cycle it sends a message to players that if they try anything different they will be restricted.
You will probably say, "well you can still play just dont snipe." But there is a problem with that. Possibilities in the game continue to be taken away because its not in bungies "vision" slowly we are being hampered from using weapons or doing anything at all. What if they say next that you cant shotgun with a bubble because its too cheap? Or what if they say that heavy synths are now 20 mins on cool down because the players use them too much. These are not out of the realm of possibility. Remember this strike has already been changed and restricted 5 times before this. Players use to bring pikes to Askor now there is a wall, players use to use the hill on askor to hide and snipe they made a wall and a soft kill zone, you can no longer go under the walkway, you can no longer crouch under the prison pod, and you can no longer use areas around the ketch. All this does is restrict players more and more until we only have a few options left. Which will eventually be stand in the open and get shot because thats what soldiers do right?
