Today I spent more than 30 minutes looking at a chat waiting for someone that wanted to start a normal fresh VOG.
After this time I gave up and went to play a different PS4 game…
My question is:
Why not introduce matchmaking for all raids as an optional choice, just like choosing to run it on normal or hard mode?
This would make everybody happy and less people would abandon Destiny! So what are you (Bungie) waiting for?
-
Because if they had matchmaking for raids, you would get set up with 1-3 guys who want to be carried and do nothing. Then you would come on here and complain that matchmaking is bad :)
-
Topic doesn't match the body of what you're saying. Sounds like you're here to stay until you find a raid party.
-
Bad idea.

If you heard the audio of the VOG I was in with 3 kids yesterday I bet you'll change your mind. Somewhere.... a generation of parents provided internet, gaming consoles, a game disc, and headset microphones to their children. And there was not 3 seconds that went by these kids did NOT SHUT UP. Now, on the flip side, I did a nightfall with one of the most humble and mature children the other day. He was respectful, well mannered, and communicated BESIDES being a pretty good player. The problem is if they open matchmaking for raids the floodgates of hell will spill forth millions of CODLINGS into our raids, and if you've ever done a game with CODLINGS it starts with losing sleep, then you can't eat, you get a rash, you lose weight, next thing you know you're in a hospital with a doctor telling you that PTSD is normal with his rubber glove getting put on. O_O Do not open raids to matchmaking. LOL

Sucks since we just saw a bit of HoW and it is shaping up to be AWESOME!!

Lol dumbest reason i have heard the entire time ive played this game

Get out of here with the "we need matchmaking" bs. No one wants to hear it. Only people ever asking for it are scrubs.
-
1. No one does a normal vog anymore. Unless you're dying for a chatterwhite. 2. Matchmaking would not be good. You'd have trolls and AFK players all the time with no ability to kick them. It's bad enough during the weekly. 3. Whatever, peace out.
-
Your problem was that you were just waiting there instead of actively looking
-
Let's just have more dead wait to carry through raids yay
-
Use planetdestinylfg it works so much better than forums
-
Because scrubs would expect people to hold a backpack for them.
-
Optional - yes. That's basically what you're getting with r/fireteams or LFG anyway...a random group to play with. I don't see the issue with that.
-
You must be new here. The majority does not want matchmaking for raids or nightfalls.
-
Bump for optional!!!!

Edited by NS Scotian: 4/22/2015 1:37:35 PMNot sure what chat you were looking for, but try the lfg sites, destinylfg.com and destinylfg.net. Pretty much just enter your details and if you've got something to offer usually a group will pick you up. And since you're joining a group of pre-made people, they are much less likely to be looking for checkpoints and usually have decent communication. Also when you get playing with some people who are friends they start giving each other a hard time over the littlest things, it's pretty funny sometimes.
